Thanks for checking out my thread.
Recently I've developed an appreciation for and interest
soccer/football due largely in part to its availability through free
legal on-line outlets. I decided to start a thread here and
hopefully share with the forums some of my recent success. Hopefully

Gonna go with Under 9 in this one.
I don't see this one being a blow out but rather a pitcher's duel.
VandenHurk has had one start this year and it was an impressive one
where he went six strong and only gave up two. Granted that was
against San Diego, but I still don't see him getting lit up for anymore
then what the Dodgers are averaging over their ten game which is a hair
under five runs. He should be able to give Florida 5/6 strong innings
and then the bullpen can hold/give up maybe one more in the last 3/4
innings. That leaves us with Kuroda who I think will have a good
night. In his last three starts he's given up a hair over three runs
which is coincidentally what Florida is averaging in their last 10
games total. I see him walking away from this one giving up two and
giving them almost seven strong then handing it over to that absolutely
nasty bullpen that Los Angeles has. If this one goes the way I see it
the total should be right at 8 give or take one for no worse then a
push. That being said I'm gonna go with the Under on this one.

OVER 10 in this one
When these two teams get together they score runs. In the five times
they've met this season they've averaged over thirteen runs per game.
Nick Blackburn has been solid for the Twins going at least seven
innings in his last three outings, but the key is he's given up an
average for four runs each of those outings and I don't see that number
going down against an Angels team that is scoring six and half a game
in their last ten. Matt Palmer on the other hand not so solid for Mike
Sciosia and Los Angeles in his only two starts of the season. In his
two starts this year he hasn't been able to make it out of the fifth
and has given up an average of 6 per contest along the way. That being
said I gotta go with over 10.

Gotta go over 10.5 in this one.
Based on his last couple of starts
I can't see Gio Gonzalez making it out of the 5th inning and donating
at least five runs to the cause before he makes his departure. That
leaves an already stressed Oakland bullpen to pick up the slack and
finish the game in the launching pad that is Yankee Stadium donating
about 3 more runs to going over that total. What I like most though
about taking the over is that even though Oakland doesn't have a
snowballs chance in hell winning Pettitte is susceptible to getting
tagged for a couple. The fact that Pettitte in his last three starts
has gone almost six innings yet giving up on average a hair over four
runs in each coupled with Oakland's ability to hit (averaging six runs
a game in their last 10) in addition to these two teams averaging 11
runs each time they get together (mind you that is without New York
facing the abomination that is Gio Gonzalez) means over is where I'm
laying my cash for the morning game.
