Thursday night kickoff!! total play

The NFL season gets started tonight with the Steelers going into New England to take on the Patriots. The line is a little tricky here. I think the Pats win the game but by a TD? The Steelers can score some points and New England is on a "Us against the world" mentality after the whole Tom Brady debacle. I'm not going to play a side but I do feel confident in the total.

Good luck everyone

First Saturday of the season!

I got off to a good start on Thursday cashing in with Minnesota+14.5. Saturday I have 3 games locked in...lets go.
1-0-0 YTD
Penn St (-7) @ TempleThe Nittany Lions battle their in-state foes as they head to Philly to take on the Owls. Both teams have very good defenses and points will be at a premium in this contest. Temple is looking for revenge as they took a beating last year out in University Park. But now they get the Nittany Lions at home and are getting points vs a sub par offense especially at QB. Penn St is 0-7-1 ATS over the last two seasons on the road. Match that up with Temple's strong 11-6 ATS record vs Non-conference teams and you have yourself a play.PLAY ON:Temple+7
Louisville vs Auburn(-10.5) *played in GeorgiaThe Cardinals take on the Tigers on neutral ground Saturday in Atlanta. Auburn comes in with a well rounded team. They run the spread offense which can always cause a problem for any defense. They also have a star on defense in Cassanova McKinzy who racked up 91 tackles last season. The Cardinals have a solid RB in Brandon Radcliff who the game plan will be planed around. On defense they lost a ton of players but they do have a beast on the DE in Sheldon Rankins who recorded 9 sacks last season. The game actually looks pretty evenly matched so this number is a little high. Plus throw in the fact that Auburn 8-11 ATS vs non conference opponents. I'm taking the points in a game decided by a TD.PLAY ON : Louisville+10.5
Arkansas St @ USC... [More]

Thursday Night kickoff!!

First play of the season comes Thursday night.

TCU(-14.5) @ Minnesota
One of the best QB/WR combo's in the nation with the Horned Frogs Boykin/Doctson go against a very talented secondary of the Golden Gophers. Laying big wood on the road is always dangerous. Minnesota's offense is nothing special but neither is TCU's defense.
Take the home dog. Good Luck everyone!

Tuesday Night hoops 11/19

I haven't posted on here for a minute..but wanted to start back up for the college hoops season. Tonight I like 5 games. I play the same amount on every game. Here we go...
St Bonaventure-5The Bonnies have OWNED this series to say the least. St Bonaventure leads the series 28-7 all time and has won 5 straight. That also includes 17 of the last 18 meetings. last year these two team met and it went to the Bonnies 58-43. I expect the same kind of result here tonight. Siena may keep this game a little closer because it's home. But a double digit victory seems legit.
Hofstra+16.5The Pride are coming off a ass kicking but to be expected versus Louisville. The 2 games prior to that the y averaged 84 points. So the team can score. They have a nice 1-2 punch with Upshaw and Nesmith. The Spiders will be tough at home. But I think the line is too high here with a team in Hofstra that can play with a mid major.
Penn St-3.5The Nittany Lions are back on their home court tonight and I think that is what makes the difference here. Penn St was blown out last season by this LaSalle squad so revenge is on their minds. Plus the Nittany Lions have one of the top players in the Big 10 with Tim Frazier 22.3 ppg. Lay the small number.
Oklahoma St-6.5The opposition  gets alot tougher tonight for the Cowboys as they face off against Memphis. But I still think that the Cowboys have too much of a balanced attack for the Tigers and that will wear them down. Yes the Tigers have an awesome... [More]

A new season..lets get it started!

As I love do love baseball as much as anyone..I don't bet it. I mean the rare play here and there but nothing serious. Every year i look forward to the first week of college football if not for anything just to get my sportsbook fired up again. While there is a full slate of games for this saturday, not too many games stood out at me except for this one. Here we go....

UConn @ Michigan (-2.5)
I'm a little annoyed with myself for not putting this play in earlier. The line opened with the Wolverines as a 3 point favorite. Now it has gone down a half a point as the money seems to be coming in on the Huskies,as it should be. UConn has covered their last 7 opening lined games and was 6-0 ATS last season an underdog! The Huskies could have easily finished with double digit wins last season. They lost a total of 5 games by a combined total of 15 points. UConn is also a money making 41-23 ATS in non-conference games the last 11 seasons. I don't like Michigan at all this season. Outside of Tate Forcier I really see this team struggling again this year and Mr Rodriguez will be out of a job.

good luck everyone..remember its a long season

Kick off tonight with a winner!!

Troy(-7) @ Bowling Green
I realize that Troy is the class of the Sunbelt Conference and will probably get their second conference title in as many years, but laying a touchdown on the road? The linesmakers are clearly going off last season with this spread. But Bowling Green has experience at the most important position on the field and that is the quarterback. Tyler Sheehan a 3rd team MAC selection the last 2 seasons. He has thrown for close to 6000 yards and 43 td's in those last 2 seasons. Also the Trojans are 1-4 ats as non conference favs plus are 2-6 straight up in their 8 road openers. This one stays close all the way. Take the points and the Falcons.

Solid "total" play for Monday

Tonight the White Sox and Twins start a 3 game series in Minnesota as both teams battle in the tight AL Central race. The pitching match up is Danks vs Perkins. The total is at 9. I LOVE the OVER in this one. The Twins line up has hit Danks well in the past with 5 players hitting .400 or better!! Now you might say well if they hit Danks so well then why not a ML play on the Twins? While I do believe that the Twins offense will be thriving in this game. I don't have too much faith in Perkins. In his two starts this season versus Chicago the Twins are 1-1 with both games going OVER the posted total. And if you look at the last 3 seasons of games in the Twin Cities the total is 20-10-1 in 31 games. I'm going to lay a little more juice here and side with the OVER.

PLAY OVER 9 -120

Solid Total play tonight on the left coast..

Astro's/Padres is 8. These two teams over the last 3 seasons at games played at Petco Park are 1-10 in Over/Unders. Thats a 90.9% clip. I was on the Under last night..lets do it again tonight.
