As I love do love baseball as much as anyone..I don't bet it. I mean the rare play here and there but nothing serious. Every year i look forward to the first week of college football if not for anything just to get my sportsbook fired up again. While there is a full slate of games for this saturday, not too many games stood out at me except for this one. Here we go....
UConn @ Michigan (-2.5)
I'm a little annoyed with myself for not putting this play in earlier. The line opened with the Wolverines as a 3 point favorite. Now it has gone down a half a point as the money seems to be coming in on the Huskies,as it should be. UConn has covered their last 7 opening lined games and was 6-0 ATS last season an underdog! The Huskies could have easily finished with double digit wins last season. They lost a total of 5 games by a combined total of 15 points. UConn is also a money making 41-23 ATS in non-conference games the last 11 seasons. I don't like Michigan at all this season. Outside of Tate Forcier I really see this team struggling again this year and Mr Rodriguez will be out of a job.
PLAY ON UCONN+2.5
good luck everyone..remember its a long season

Troy(-7) @ Bowling Green
I realize that Troy is the class of the Sunbelt Conference and will probably get their second conference title in as many years, but laying a touchdown on the road? The linesmakers are clearly going off last season with this spread. But Bowling Green has experience at the most important position on the field and that is the quarterback. Tyler Sheehan a 3rd team MAC selection the last 2 seasons. He has thrown for close to 6000 yards and 43 td's in those last 2 seasons. Also the Trojans are 1-4 ats as non conference favs plus are 2-6 straight up in their 8 road openers. This one stays close all the way. Take the points and the Falcons.
