Tuesday Picks

Alabama +3.5

Tide need a signature win to get them off the bubble..  an RPI of 32 and SOS of 22 should get them an at large bid, but a conference win against a top 15 Opponent (Florida) would seal the deal.  Bama will be motivated returning home where they have just lost twice this year (Georgetown Vanderbilt) I look for them to rebound at home after dropping their last game at LSU with 3 starters suspended for the game.  Florida has not beaten anyone on the road, they don’t need this game, and Bama’s defense is almost as good as Kentucky who shut down the Gators last week.  Bama wins outright but I will take the points..

More to come later

Rock Chalk Jayhawk

The talent on the Jayhawk side of the ball is vastly superior to K-State.  This is the final test of any significance before the Jayhawks get their shot at redemption against Missouri which will be for the conference title… and may have been one of the biggest choke jobs of the year(although UNC/ Duke last week deserves some consideration)

Self will have their attention on the road, and Kansas is easily the more balanced team here.  I hate taking road dogs with short odds, but can’t pass up the superior talent in rivalry game.  That plus I love watching Frank Martin get all worked up..

Kansas -4 (2 Units)

Popping a cherry Monday night

Long time voyeur….  First time poster…  Tail, Fade, and comment as you see fit.  Syracuse has been beating up on the soft underbelly (something that I know a little about) of the Big East for most of the Season.  Big conference road covers against, Depaul, Providence, St. Johns, and Villanova are unimpressive at best considering that those are the worst 4 teams in an atypically weak Big East conference this year.  The Cuse takes their vaunted 2-3 zone south tonight to the most hostile environment they will see all year.  Pitino knows how to bust that zone, 7 straight up wins against Jimmy B’s boys….  Siva will find the seams in the zone off the dribble, and Kuric will find the open shooters from the high post, and Loo-ville makes it 8 straight.
LOUISVILLE +3  (2 units)
