1st Half of 2012 MLB season

YTD

154-117  (LARGE 96-60)  + 220.02 UNITS

The first half of the season was a favorable one with over 220 units accomplished.  It was a very nice 1st half to the season and hopefully we can come close to duplicating it the second half.

Thanks,

GEKKO

6-5-10

Florida Marlins @ NY Mets
Game time: 4:10

We have two pitchers that are low to mid 4 in ERA and face off during a day game in NY. The Mets will have 5 hitters in the lineup that will have hit Robertson well in the past batting over .333, while Niese has a 5.63 ERA vs the Marlins. The Marlins hit lefties much better and are 13-6 against them this season. As a split, the Marlins .280 vs lefties, and last 7 days are hitting .287. The Marlins will have the lineup loaded with righties today. As I was on the Marlins yesterday and took the loss, I'll most likely be on them again, however, My bigger play will be the over. Niese has only worked into 7th 1 time out of last 7 stars, Robertson has been much better working at least 6 3 out of last 7. I expect some firepower early and often. I see a 7-5 type of game with the Marlins winning this one.

Weather: 10-14 mph out to center
Umpire: averages 9.8 rpg

Rodriguez has thrown 97 pitches in last 4 days. Is today a day off? Both teams are average vs bullpens.

PLAY: Florida Marlins-Medium OVER 9.5 Large

Chicago Cubs @ Houston Astros
Game time: 7:05

The Cubs counter Dempster with Houston's Oswalt tonight at Minute maid park. Oswalt hasn't been too happy with his current club, however Oswalt's Astros are playing well and when they are playing well, I look for Roy to get his W's. He's had some su... [More]

NCAA Marketwatch 1-14-10

Yesterday had a great day hitting 4 out of 6 stocks purchased with a stalemate on one to push to 4-1-1 even with a bad line in Minnesota catching the 6.5 instead of 7.  On to today’s card:

Arizona State              PK

Arizona                            +3.5

California                     -4

St. Mary’s                       -3.5

Wofford                          -15.5

Portland                        +1

Indiana                              +13.5

The only one that worries me is the rlm on Indiana, as Michigan is still getting some action even with the squares siding with the hoosiers.  Both the Arizona teams come wit... [More]

NCAA MARKETWATCH 9/24-9/26

MARKETWATCH:

I'm trying to see what the market does and make some investments based upon market analysis, total pts capped, and overall percentage of so called sharp bettors compared to the betting public.  As an investor the market is always a strategy to use when placing wagers on any sporting event that has multiple events going off on one day.   Last week 7-1   under my investments for a very profitable day.  Went 0-2 with straight up picks but will invest more in Marketwatch this week.   Mississippi @ South Carolina

NCAA current total: 53.5

Percentage: 50% on the over 50% on the under

Game Capped by GEKKO:  45

The market is being very bearish on South Carolina's executable offense and the last two weeks throwing up points, as well as Mississippi holding steady at 3rd in the nation in points.  They've played Memphis (95th ranked) and Southeaster LA (66th).

South Carolina is 15th in total defense while Mississippi is no slouch hanging in at 33rd in the nation.

I agree the market hasn't moved this total in either direction by more than 1/2 a point.

Play:  Under 53.5

Wall Street plays of the Day

YTD   115-91     +61.13   Units          Yesterday went 3-2 and up 2.9 Units for the day..Today's Card may be my largest of the year.  I think the Moons will align and so won't my win totals.   Today's Plays 2 Units Each   OVER BOS/LAA     9      -120           LA at Boston Fenway Weather: 8mph to RCenter Umpire: 3-3 set at 9.  Has always had 50% or higher O/U totals throughout career previous to this year.    Hitters vs Lackey ORTIZ         .385  2HR MANNY      .480   5 HR PEDROIA    .444 YOUK          .308 DREW        .357   Bucholz hasn't been much better and era hovering around mid 5's and yet hes still starting over Masterson...Look for him to move out of rotation with another bad outing.  LAAngels are the team to beat in my opinion...Boston hasn't righted the ship just yet..LA's bullpen very good.    Boston     -115                 Although Buckholz has been bad Lackey does not pitch well in Fenway Park.  Look for the Sox to jump all over him again.  Hit... THE ART OF ME

The richest one percent of this country owns half our country's wealth, five trillion dollars. One third of that comes from hard work, two thirds comes from inheritance, interest on interest accumulating to widows and idiot sons and what I do, stock and Sports speculation. It's bullshit. You got ninety percent of the American public out there with little or no net worth. I create nothing. I own. We make the rules, pal. The news, war, peace, famine, upheaval, the price per paper clip. We pick that rabbit out of the hat while everybody sits out there wondering how the hell we did it. Now you're not naive enough to think we're living in a democracy, are you buddy? It's the free market. And you're a part of it. You've got that killer instinct. Stick around people, I've still got a lot to teach you.
