November's forecast went 7-3 ATS. Actually, 8-3 because the Mavericks forecast also included the Pacers game they played before heading to Cleveland. I just didn't make an official play on that one game, thats all.

Most of these are situational plays, generally fading a team on a back-to-back schedule. A few picks are matchup advantages strictly based on timing; ie, a hot team versus a struggling team, a home team coming off a [potential] road loss. And there is one matchup that posed a strong play on the total as well.

Here we go. Looks to be 10 big games on tap for this month.

Don't be suprised if most of my picks are a fade of one certain team.  Mark Cuban will not be a happy man in December.

First off -- and i've presented this claim a week ago -- this is going to be a tough month for the Dallas Mavericks. By my divination of things and according to my system "mojo" charts, this is the month we could make good money fading Dallas. Expect the Mavericks to have a losing month as they'll probably have a below .500 record for the month of December. Either way, i'll venture to say that the Mavericks will definitely have a sub .500 ATS record for this month. The Mavericks are already 1-3 ATS in December, the lone win coming against the Nets. For the month, i think they're about to go 1-4 against the spread tonight. Which leads me to the first prediction. Actually, this should be the 3rd prediction for the Mavericks since i made calls against them when they lost to Atlanta and didn't cover against the Suns. I just couldn't make this thread back then as it takes lots of time for me to compile my system charts for all 30 teams. Anyways.

December 11: The Heat haven't had a win against the Mavericks since the NBA Finals in June of 2006. This is a good spot for the Heat to put a stop to that one-sided win streak. Also love the fact that the public will be all over Dallas. Traditionally, my system picks do very well against teams the public love. Most likely, my game of the week.

December 14: This is the only back-to-back game for the Grizzlies in December. Celtics hosting -- shootout in The Garden, i say. Love the Overs in the back-ends of Memphis' back-to-back.

December 15: Just a hunch, bad spot for the Suns when they host the Spurs. After a somewhat slow November, December looks to be a good month for the Spurs; probably in large part due to a healthy Parker and Ginobili. Possibly, 2 teams going in opposite directions. Possibly my game of the week.

December 16: Houston travel to Denver after a grinding game in Detroit. A back-to-back fade on the Rockets; Nuggets with 1-day rest. Denver should win by double-digits here. Game of the week, material.

December 17: Bulls hosting Knicks after what could be a laughable game against the Lakers. At one point in the season we all thought that the Nets were the worse team in the league. When the Bulls gave the Nets their 2nd win of the season, i think, the Bulls dropped to a new all-time low. The Bulls are awful as a fave at home. But the fact that they're the worst ATS team, makes them awful anytime, anywhere. Whatever the line will be for this match, it'll be a mistake if the oddsmakers continue to shade lines towards the Bulls. I'll be on the Knicks for this one.

December 22: Dallas hosting Portland. Another spot fade of the Mavericks. Medium play on the Blazers here.

December 23: Bucks hosting Wizards before playing 3 teams with very good defenses (San Antonio, Charlotte, Orlando). The Bucks will have an extra day rest against the Wizards' back-to-back. A timing play if anything. The Bucks have a decent defense this year, thanks in large part to Ersan Ilyasova who is a pesky perimeter defender; Bogut have always been a good shot-blocker down low. And we all know the Wizards still can't stop any team most of the time. Strong play on the Bucks at home.

December 25: Its Christmas day. Like the Thanksgiving NFL games, this is the day the public actually do well with certain [strong] favorites. You uncles and aunts and grandmas will be betting on the Suns with you and guess what -- they'll win. I'll be on the Suns to blow-out the Clippers on Christmas.

December 25: Another Christmas day game the public will most likely cash in on. I'll be taking the Celtics over the Magic. Bad spot for the Magic, a jump-shooting team that can't play inside-out against the Celtics.

And last but not least, my GAME OF THE MONTH. Surprise, another spot fade of the Dallas Mavericks. November's GOM was against the Mavericks off a back-to-back in Cleveland. The Cavaliers won in blow-out fashion. Talk about an easy win. How about another easy win for this GOM?

December 27: Dallas travels to Denver after hosting Memphis. I'll take Denver to win in blow-out fashion. GOM alert. Set your alarms, fellas.

Thats my forecast for December.

If anyone have any objections or any games they're anticipating please feel free to chime in.

Happy holidays!

A couple of possibilities for Dec 12.  Teams playing in Denver and Utah don't fare well if they're playing b2b.  Some ascribe it to the altitude.  Pho plays at home tonight, then in Den tomorrow, LAL plays home tonight then in Utah tomorrow.  I'll be looking hard at Den and Utah tomorrow.

Going to spot fade the Mavericks again. Love the OKC Thunder tonight.

GOt the OKC as well. Been feelin' them since their loss to DEN last game. Thunder was in that game throughout, although a 4th Q surge put DEN in command. Last second three by Jeff Green saved my ass. I think they'll hang Dallas out to dry this game as motivation.

Not worried that the Rockets have a fresh Ariza with a mission after that horrible game and the suspension ? This is possible x-factor as he can def carry the offense with a little luck (and 3-pointers) and he has the stamina to play fully being rested and all.

Dec 25th. Celtics.  Suns.

For future reference: Christmas & Thanksgiving - the 2 days that the public actually wins.

GOM in 2 days, fellas.

HappyKane says:
12/25/09 11:46PM

If you're counting days, sure.

Otherwise, 2 wins on the 25th.

Finished strong in November. The GOM was also in the last week of the month -- Mavericks @ Mavs.

We'll see how it goes.

redskinsnation - Especially if Denver loses tonight. The GOM is even a better situational play.

November's GOM was Cleveland over Dallas. Guess which team came off an embarassing loss? Guess which team got blown out?

HappyKane says:
12/26/09 02:35PM
And today, i'm hoping the Mavericks would blow-out the Grizzlies.

m3ntal - Yes. A play for the Nuggets w/o Chauncey as well as a fade on the Mavericks.

12-17: Loss
12-22: Win
