At what price will the draw in the Mexico/Uruguay match open at ?

With both Mexico & Uruguay both locked at the top of Group A with 4 points a piece, and to play each other in the final game in this group next week (whilst France have to beat South Africa to stand any chance of progressing also needing this result to go their way),it won't be long until conspiracy theories start flying around about both teams,Mexico & Uruguay, settling for the draw in order to ensure progression to the last 16 and also eliminate France while they're at it.

What do you think the draw will open at here ??

-$150 ?  -$200 ?

Also anyone remember the first round game between Denmark and Sweden at Euro 2004 which opened at a very short price for the draw which it turned out to be, a favourable result for both sides eliminating Italy in the process

Not experienced in betting soccer but I would still guess the draw will be + odds. But like I said, I really don't know soccer lines too well...

yeah, there is no reason for them to even play right?

a 0-0 score gets them both through.

does seeding matter or is that already determined?

2nd in Group A will play Argentina most likely.....who knows who 1st in Group A will play (S. Korea, Greece, Nigeria).

US/England are Group C.

Yeah, I am not sure of the answer, but I can say with some confidence that the USA/England rankings will have no bearing on the MEX/Uruguay line/outcome.

yes, Livan, my bad, I messed up the group ones.

I still mean the same thing. AS someone said, the goal diff is only 1 goal, so a draw is 1st place result for Ura, where Xico is playing for a match up with SK/ Greece. w/ a win. I think we can all agree there is a BIG difference in Tina or 1 of those 2?

I am not too sure Mexico will be content to take a matchup with Argentina...If they win, they can take 1st place in the group and NOT play 'tina next

Right now Mexico has a +2 GD with 3 goals scored,
France has a -2 GD with ZERO goals scored

Even if Mexico loses 2-1, and France beats SA 3-0...Mexico would still be in 2nd based on the goals scored tie breaker...therefore, I'd think if Mexico gets 1 goal against Uruguay then it would be in their best interest to go all out for the win

Uruguay will play and attack for the win,why the hell would they settle or risk in case Mexico scores.They will make sure they wont allow a last minute goal.None of those teams would want to play against Argentina,who wouldnt want Greece or S Korea

I will put out my disclaimer now, since I do have a decent size interest in this result already. (Posted in my futures thread)

I have 1/2 Unit to win 6 Units on Xico 1st/Uraguay 2nd +1200

So, I will prob be putting a 1/2 Unit on Ura pk line

The price on the draw has settled at 1.80 with most bookies. A couple have it at 1.83 but no bigger than that

Uruguay are a best priced 4.60, with Mexico @ 3.80
