2011-12 NFL Season Bold Predictions

There will be football in September. There is too much money on the table to pass up on either side.

-New Orleans Saints will NOT make the playoffs. They have a tough schedule and the team to play the defending SB champs in the opening game hasn't made the playoffs for 7 straight years. Sorry New Orleans.

-The Detroit Lions will not win 8 or more games. I'm a detroiter and there is a lot of silly talk that they can win 9 games and even make the playoffs. JUST STOP IT!

-The Indianapolis Colts will not make the playoffs. Well Lucas Oil field is the host of the next SB and you know the jinx that goes along with a team if their stadium is the cite for the SB. No playoffs this year Peyton.

-The Baltimore Ravens will not make the playoffs. Their first 6 games is very tough! I see them starting out 1-5 and that's too deep of a hole to dig out of.

-A team from the NFC East will represent the conference in the SB. It seems that the divisions have been in a rotation of making it to the big dance. 08 NFC East 09 NFC West 10 NFC South 11 NFC North  12 NFC East???

-The Tennessee Titans will make it to the playoffs with Locker under center. All he has to do is hand it off to CJ and watch him run. I think the Titans will be sneaky this season.

-The 49ers will finally make the playoffs again. Not sure how with their qb situation but they will find a way.

-The Dallas Cowboys will make it to the playoffs. This is Romo's last chance to get there or he is out. Rob Ryan calling the defensive plays will be HUGE.

-The Houston Texans will make the playoffs. Wade Phillips is an excellent defensive coordinator and he has talent to work with they just need some direction.

-Cam Newton will be a bust in the NFL. He was so successful in college do to his threat to run but not in the NFL. He wants to be an icon, well maybe you should worry about being a qb. If he worked liked Tebow he could be very good but that will not happen.

-MVP of the league will be Darren Mcafadden. What can I say, the guy is a beast  JUST GIVE HIM THE DAMN BALL  forget about Bush!

-MVP on defense will be Demarcus Ware   best pass rusher int he league

-The New England Patriots will win a playoff game. They haven't won in the playoffs since their SB meltdown to the Gmen.

Wow I'm re-reading this and you think either the Titans or Houston will win the AFC South, THEN you think one of them will be good enough to earn one of ONLY TWO AFC WILDCARD SPOTS? Have you lost your mind?

Complete respect for you as a blogger, but I have no respect for those two predictions. I know they are supposed to be bold, but bold does not mean out of your mind.

God I feel like such an ass right now for caring so much, but I just think it's such a terrible "bold" prediction. As you can see from the schedule, the Titans can only win 8 games IMO. Of those 8, it looks as if they won't win more than 4 (DENVER, CINCY, CAROLINA, BUFFALO). It will be very tough for them to win more than those 4, and even those aren't guaranteed in the NFL.

TENNESSEE TITANS CALENDAR AND RESULTS

2011 Season

WEEK 1 AT JACKSONVILLE EITHER A WIN OR A LOSS, MOST LIKELY LOSS

WEEK 2 VS BALTIMORE DEFINITE LOSS

WEEK 3 VS DENVER MOST LIKELY A WIN, DEPENDS ON HOW BOTH TEAMS PLAY OBVIOUSLY

WEEK 4 AT CLEVELAND LOSS

WEEK 5 AT PITTSBURGH DEFINITE LOSS

WEEK 6 BYE

WEEK 7 VS HOUSTON MOST LIKELY A LOSS

WEEK 8 VS INDIANAPOLIS I AM BIASED AS A COLTS FAN, BUT DEFINITE LOSS

WEEK 9 VS CINCINNATI MOST LIKELY A WIN

WEEK 10 AT CAROLINA MOST LIKELY A WIN

WEEK 11 AT ATLANTA DEFINITE LOSS

WEEK 12 VS TAMPA BAY DEFINITE LOSS

WEEK 13 AT BUFFALO MOST LIKELY A WIN

WEEK 14 VS NEW ORLEANS DEFINITE LOSS

WEEK 15 VS INDIANAPOLIS MOST LIKELY A LOSS, COULD UPSET

WEEK 16 VS JACKSONVILLE COMPLETE TOSS UP, PROBABLY A WIN

WEEK 17 AT HOUSTON LOSS

SUPER BOWL: Ravens 23, Falcons 20

The Philadelphia Eagles will NOT win the Superbowl this season. Remember they do not have a good running game and last year their defense was not very good. Ya they got Nnamdi but can they rush the pasher or better yet stop the run?

Sorry pal that's where your lost me. Just because the Colts are hosting the Super Bowl doesn't mean they are bound for failure.

Just watch and see. Its a lock they don't make the playoffs this year.

The only lock is that you obviously don't gamble. Nothing in sports is a lock, and saying that the most consistent NFL team in the past decade is going to miss the playoffs is a lock shows your intelligence

QB smith - i cant believe he is still on the team...

...how many coaches has he gotten fired?

...if the new HC is smart and wants to keep his job, Lose smith at QB.

- New England Patriots will win the AFC East

- Baltimore Ravens will win the AFC North

- Houston Texans are a big sleeper!

- San Diego Chargers will run away with the AFC West

- Green Bay Packers will run away with the Division

Im sorry to break it to you but I m a beter capper in the NFL the you will ever be. Oh did Montana, Elway, Marino, Unitas ever miss the playoffs? Yes, and Peyton has made it to the playoffs every year except his rookie year and his 2nd I believe. The guy is great but he is 35 and his defense and running game is suspect.

Probably be ~30% right...

A lot of big names in Phili but no chemistry in such lilttle time before preseason/season starts.

a talented offensive Giants team will bust with Eli at qb and will result in Coughlin gettin fired.

Rex or Beck at qb for skins...equals 4/5 wins

Garret and Ryan get it done in the east with a healthy Romo and D Ware leading the defense

I Like the Pats to take it all if...

-Haynesworth allows himself to be coached

-Ocho will commit to winning American Football (not that soccer crap he tried)

-Brady can carry the intensity he found at end of season last year

My big question mark for the Pats is in the playoffs can their secondary make any big plays? Brady also looked lost versus the Jets in the playoffs. I kinda think the Jets have gotten into the heads of the Patriots.

I am a Giants fan and I agree with you. They lost some key parts on their o-line. Dallas is my team to make it to the Superbowl this year. Jason Garret reminds me of Sean Peyton as far as offensive guru goes.

1) The Saints will win their division this season imo. When was the last time the same team won that division back to back seasons?

2) I dont know about the Colts not making it into the playoffs but I do know that any team that has hosted the super bowl in their stadium has never made it to the big dance.

3) You gotta be kidding me about the Ravens starting out 1-5 & not making the playoffs. I have Flacco & company winning that division.

4) I like the way you think about an NFC East team being in the super bowl, I agree & alot of people think it will be the Eagles but I am thinking the Cowboys might get there.

5) I like Locker at the QB position & think he will do well in Tenn.

6) The 49ers division is gonna be up in the air like last season. The 49ers play at the Rams in week 17 & Seattle plays Arizona that week also. I have a feeling those 4 teams will be playing for the division & that final week will determine it, LoL!

7) I agree with your Texans call as well, it looks like its time for someone else to win that division & it may be their time.

8) I disagree with your Cam Newton assessment. He will prove to the world that he is worth more than $22 million that the rookie salary cap has allowed him to earn, especially after seeing Sam Bradford collecting $78 million last year. I think he will be an awesome QB, at least the first couple years............

9) Everything else seems agreeable.................good luck this season bro.................

So how do you like the Colts chances now of making the playoffs without Manning playing the preseason and probably missing the opener?
IgetMoney101 says:

Hate to say it but the Colts missing the playoffs might turn out to be an easy prediction.
IgetMoney101 says:

So far my predictions haven't been to bad except Baltimore not making the playoffs and Saints not making it too.
