Got the call 2 hours ago from my source inside University of Notre Dame (I worked their for 18 months). The contract details are still being worked out but it will be announced sometime soon that the next head coach of ND will be Bob Stoops. You heard it here first.

Usually the coach in question is going to remain silent or provide ambiguous answers about a potential move, not adamantly deny several times about his potential move..... I would say stoops is staying put....

Why would stoops want to go from a 10 win program 9 out of every 10 years,compete for a national title 3 of those 9 years,and go to a bcs bowl 6 of the 9 to a 6-6 program that under achieves every year? So what if they are on nbc every game....okla is too,including a 13th game in a top tier bowl,which notre shame isn't even going to.Notre LAME and lou holtz are legends in their own minds.

Notre Dame top candidate for football coach does not appear to be interested in the job.

Oklahoma Sooners coach Bob Stoops was on the Irish wishlist, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. But on Saturday, Stoops -- who on Monday had said specifically that he would be coaching the Sooners next season -- reiterated in a lengthy statement that he would remain at Oklahoma.

"For the third, and hopefully final time, let me again state that I will continue to be the coach at Oklahoma," Stoops said. "I appreciate the history and tradition of Notre Dame. I also appreciate the history and tradition of Oklahoma, and I have been part of building that tradition here."

I think it's brian kelly or skip holtz.Notre SHAME is just not the place to be anymore.Does army still live off it's glory years from the 1940's? What has notre LAME done in the past 20 years? Why would stoops or any other coach want to regress down 2 notches?For kelly and skip,this is a move up.Just like pamela anderson.....The golden homers just aren't what they used to be.
