Pitt is just too much for Zona

The Steelers have never lost a SB.  The Cards have never been there.  Over half of the NFL has lost on their first trip to the SB!!!  Most teams don't win the first time there.......some dynasties did.  GB, SF, Pit, and a few first timer flyers like the Bears and Jets.  The Steelers are playing defense in a physical, dominating way that wins championships!!  Look at the NCAA championship......same cenario there!  The Cards will have to play their kind of ball and play without mistakes to have a shot.  I don't believe they can do it.  And history is all over my side with that prediction.  Go back and look at the history of first timers in the SB!!!!  It will catch your attentions.

Chime in and let me know what you think.  If you have some solid numbers and analysis on the game in favor of the Cards.......I would love to hear it.  GL to everyone and make sure you pound the total sacks (O) 5 for the SB.  It's one of the best prop bets out there this year.......live some of your favorites also, if you would.

It's amazing how many people try to post their predictions on here without knowing what they are talking about.

Irish,

Have followed your posts in the game threads all year and appriciate your insight ... won me lots of cake ... thanks !!!

On topic, did you notice the level of intensity and speed from both teams in the pitts/balt game ??? the opening kickoff pitts sent two ravens to the sidelines with those little cartoon birds flying circles around their helmets and they kept asking for someone to turn off the organ grinder music ... that intensity, ferocity, heightened level of play was there from both sides of the ball ... i didn't see that in the philly/ariz game ... even though the cardinals have several guys with superbowl wins under their belts the rest do not ... i think it's harder for first timers to bring it (that intensity level) and still concentrate on their assignments, snap counts etc ... i guess i'm saying that i agree ... experience usually counts for something, right ?!? BOL on your SB wagers !!!

Arizona might be a DYNASTY !!!???? Dont really see it, but you may be on to something!!!!.....as far as the ncaa championship...if az gets in the redzone as many times as Oklahoma did, Pitt is in trouble.....

Throw out history before this year because it means little.  Ariz has been very solid defensively through the playoffs but slacked off  2nd 1/2 of philly game whether they were either nursing the lead, got tired or just plain beat their is no doubt their d will decide the outcome.  As far as the sacks go, ariz is going to have to get most of the 5 for it to go over because warner gets rid of the ball to quick Pgh will be lucky to get to Warner at all having to drop their OLB's into coverage most of the game.  I don't see anyway Pgh will stop Ariz offensively.  Pgh has not faced anything resembling an offense like this and Philly d has played as well if not better than Pgh coming into that game and they were dismantled.  Pgh d def stats are impressive but a lot of it comes from playing in brutal weather and racked up sacks vs the likes of quinn, flacco, s. hill, gradkowski campbell and garrard and lost to teams w/ quality qbs mannings, and mcnabb.  They beat  very over rated qbs in cassell and romo and would have lost if you played sd on the road in neutral conditions as rivers would have them shredded them even more than he did.  My fav prop is ariz 1st half/ ariz game @  5-1 .

Splooge, good to see you here.  Been a loooong time.  Glad we're on the same side, as we were two of the few, the proud, the correct... Giants backers last year.  GL, bud.

Yeah......Giants won me a pile too last year......this team doesn't even come close to the defense that the Giants had last year!!!! Zona averaged allowing 27 points per game through the regular season and finished dead last in the league rushing!!! Teams that are that weak in those areas of the game, who rely on rythme passing and deep balls, don't win championships!! Especially facing a team who has won five times before and is trying to achieve the status of being the first team to win 6 SB titles...... Hey Helmstetter!!! Give me something.......let me know what you think and why..........Same thing for you MRKnish.........who about taking a stance and making a pick so others can judge you over time and not on one post!?!?!? And if I am so pathetic and dumb........go check my record in the NFL this year on my page. It will speak for itself........now anyone got any good info or analysis to share? Keep it coming.
