Have you asked yourself that question? Pedro is gonna give up a few runs but AJ Burnett against the Phillies line up? If he gets into a first inning jam like CC did he wont get out of it and the Yanks will be fighting uphill all night. Plus money for this kid.

Phillies +187 5 units
Phillies over (hopefully 8.5) 5 units

I'm trying to recall the 1st inning of his last start - was it a good one?

I'm also trying to recall the inning he had immediately after being given the lead for the 1st time in his last start - was it a good one?

This line is crazy IMO.

Sure, the Yankees may "need" this game and we don't know what to expect out of Pedro but I wouldn't be caught dead laying -200 behind AJ Burnett against this lineup.

This is the absolute worst possible matchup for Burnett. He is a fastball pitcher who throws a lot of pitches, gives up a lot of homers and also walks a lot of batters. This plays directly in the Phillies hands as they are a fastball hitting HR team who are also patient at the plate and can draw walks in bunches. Making matters worse is Burnett's slow delivery which makes him susceptable to being run on which the Phillies aren't afriad to do as they stole the 7th most bases in the majors this season and are tied for 1st in steals this postseason.

There are other factors in this game but I'm not sure anyone can lay -200 on AJ Burnett tonight and feel confident that they will be cashing their ticket.

how is Burnett going to get the ball past that Philly lineup?

In the 1st inning of A.J. Burnett's last start, which was Oct. 22 vs. the Angels, he gave up 4 runs. He started the game with a leadoff walk to Chone Figgins followed by 4 straight hits; A Bobby Abreu double, a Torii Hunter single, a Vladimir Guerrero double, and a Kendry Morales single. A fly ball to right and double play then followed. End of 1 in Anaheim: Angels 4 Yankees 0

Because it's the right side.

I suspect you typed this with tongue in cheek, BetCrimes1984. The Yankees put 6 runs on the board in the top of the 7th inning on Oct 22 against the Angels to take a 6-4 lead. Girardi stuck with Burnett in the bottom of the 7th. The first two batters Burnett faced reached base. Jeff Mathis singled and Erick Aybar walked. Burnett was then pulled.

Shit I had the Yankees last night 3 units on RL and to win 3 on ML so I would be the first to say oh no way the Yanks lose 2, but don't be fooled into betting -200 on Burnett...

tough game to call

you got two pitchers that you never know what you are going to get

it's not like lee or sabathia, you know what you are going to get

I couldn't agree more, Lee was a great value at +153 last night and Pedro is a very good value tonight! GL

you're not very bright for thinkin that line is too high. aj pitches very well in yankee stadium. and he has pitched very well in the playoffs. goes 6 innings in minny and gives up 1 run. 6 innings at home against the halos and gives up 2 runs. gets bombed on the road in l.a.  back at home tonight in a can't lose situation he goes 7 innings with 9 k's. let's go yanks!!!
