Vancouver: They've got the goods. Determined. Skilled. Experienced...especially in the net (i.e. WHERE IT COUNTS).

Pittsburgh: While there's really no talent differential to speak of between Pitt and Washington, I see the league favoring the Pens with a few generous calls. Plus, they've been here and know what to expect.

While Luongo is quite streaky, he's currently on the way toward the crest of a good streak. What he's "done"...Gold medal is nothing to sneeze at but his real chops were cut when he was with the Panthers. He's not going to flinch and the Nucks are ALL OVER the puck in front of him...most of the time.

I'd be more confident in Luongo than I would be in Howard, Niemi or Nabokov. Other than Bryzgalov, I think he's the best goalie left in the Western Conference.

You are exactly right. Nabby fades in the playoffs. Howard is an empty-net rookie. Niemi has some talent but he'll probably buckle. Bryz has the chops but the team in front of him has just too many question marks. Nucks win the west.

You are right, NJDevils. Canucks are NOT the _better team_. They are the more consistent team and they're peaking at the right time.
