Just guys that are out of the news that you think could have  a chance someday?

I like Troy Smith, he got better and better at OSU and has looked decent in a few games in the NFL. I think given the chance this kid would do really well.

On the other hand I have always like Josh McCown but I think hes about out of the league if not already.

Always liked Sage Rosenfels I think he is a good QB. Really think hes better than Matt Schaub to be honest. He made a few bad mistakes at Houston not going down and fumbling that ball, but for the life of me I dont get why Tarvaris Jackson would be Minnesotas pick if Favre doesnt come back. Sage is really good I am suprised he cant beat out that int machiene

You stole my answer man!

I think Nate Davis will be a solid pro one day.  He was only a junior coming out of Ball State.

If the 49ers can give him at least one or two more years to sit and learn, he will be solid, imo.  He has all the physical tools.

I think Sage Rosenfields could be a very good game manager.  And in Minnesota that's all he would have to do.

I think T.Jackson will be a solid QB.  He had to deal with a serious illness to his small child in 2008.

Does Chad Henne still count as a back up?

I think Matt Flynn could be solid for GB if Rodgers went down.  The Packers cut Brian Brohm (a second round pick) so they could keep Flynn (a seventh round pick).

I think Tyler Thigpen could be ok.  I believe he plays for Jacksonville now.

Josh Johnson from TB is one that I am high on.  He didn't play terrible last year in the few games he started, but now that Josh Freeman has solidified the QB position Johnson will be a back up or go elsewhere.

And the most obvious (who I am not quite convinced will be a back up come September 12) is Michael Vick.  I believe the Eagles are playing possum with Vick.  Late in the season he finally got his jukes back a little and in 2010 he will be even better.

I dunno about Nate Davis, I dont wanna be negative as I made the thread but I disagree with him. WE will see though.

I thought Brent Ratliff looked real good but he doesnt seem to ever have a chance of seeing the field. Im a big browns fan and I dont even know if he is still on the team. lol

Also like the kid philly picked up in the draft this year. The kid from northwestern Mike Kafka. He is accurate as hell but I dont know if he has the arm strength.

I honestly think Colt McCoy and Mike Kafka are a toss up to succeed, I was hoping browns would get him later but I guess you have to take McCoy when they did.

I agree 100%.  I've always thought Sage was the man.

Sage always comes in and does a good job for sure. However i will FOREVER hate him for the performance he put on against the Colts 2 years ago. Texans had something like a 17 point lead with 7-8 minutes left as a 1 or 2 point dog. Anyone remember that game? Tucks the ball and runs with it only to get HAMMERED do a flip in the air and fumble it up to the Colts. Man that was one of the worst losses i have had

Sage to me is nothing but a Joey Harrington type player.  Puts up decent numbers, even looks ok most the time.  But the catch is they make bad decisions at the worst time that are total back breakers for teammates and fans alike.

You got guys who always manage to win games and then there's those guys that always manage to fuck up the big moment.  Sage seems to fit into the latter.

Gotta go with this one if I had to pick one from all the ones listed so far

I can't figure out what miami is going to do with him....You start Henne, then they resigned pennington(or he was undercontract). then Thigpen...and you have White who they drafted in the second....

i can't see them giving up on White yet so that leaves thigpen the odd man out unless he really shows something..

I also had the Colts that day.  I remember I already had locked my bet and I wanted to pull my hair out when I heard that Schaub was not playing.  All game I was cursing myself for not "juicing" my bet with the different QB(as you can see I have lots of respect for Sage).  Then the two miracles came.  I had an on my shoulder that day.
