Fox's **NFL Week 2 Picks & Analysis**

YTD NCAAF: 11-19 ATS -22.6u YTD NFL: 6-3-2 ATS +7.8u
1u = Standard Bet 4u = Max Bet
5-2 ATS +6.1u in NCAAF Yesterday. 11-5 ATS since Sunday. Looks like i finally got back on track here. Feeling good about todays card. Picks are below.  Good Luck!

1u Dolphins +3
These two teams are pretty evenly matched. Colts defense still isn't good enough for me to lay more than 3 points with them. Could be a push here but i think the Dolphins defense is good enough to get a stop late and win by a fg. Dolphins win 27-24

1u Minnesota Vikings +6.5
Taking another shot here with the Vikings with almost a TD in a division game. Will come down to Ponder turnovers again. If he limits in to 1 the Vikings should easily cover here.
Bears win 24-20

2u Carolina Panthers -3
Bills played a very poor New England team as we all saw this past Thursday. Panthers played a top 3 team in the NFL. Line should be 6 imo. ill go ahead and lay the small road chalk here. Panthers win 30-17

2u Washington Redskins +7.5
Skins looked horrible in the first half last week, and they couldnt stop the run. The Packers cant run though so this should be a more favorable match-up. Im banking RG3 returns to some of his last year self. Dont know if they pull the upset but ll take the TD and the hook. Packers win 33-28

2u Saints -3 (-120)
Another small road chalk here with a superior team here. Saints have been pretty successful ag... [More]

Fox's **Week 3 NCAAF Picks & Analysis**

YTD NCAAF: 6-17 ATS -28.7u YTD NFL: 6-3-2 ATS +7.8u
1u = Standard Bet 4u = Max Bet

Jets and Tulane made it a profitable night on Thursday. TCU was our only loss, and had some questionable officiating. Everyone has been on both sides of bad officiating tho. On to Saturday.

1u Ohio +8.5
Ohio is still getting a bad rap after that beat-down they took against UL a few weeks ago. They were simply outmatched in that game. I really like them getting this many points here at home today. They should match up well in the trenches and Marshall plays its first road game of the year. Should be a good amount of scoring and a back and forth kind of game. I could see either team winning by a FG here.

Prediction: Ohio wins 31-28

1u FAU +12
This is more a of USF fade than anything. Two bad teams here, ill take the points in what will be a sloppy game most likely. Both teams will struggle offensively, making the 12 even more valuable.

Prediction: USF wins 20-16

1u Arizona St. -5
Crowd will be rocking here tonight as Arizona St. has high expectations for this season. The return a lot of starters and should be able to put up enough points here. Wisconsin will surely try to run the ball, but i just dont see them having enough success doing so. There will be multiple passing situations and Stave has yet to prove to me he can consistently make the throws necessary to keep drives alive. Plus i like fading teams ... [More]

Fox's **9/12 Picks & Analysis**

YTD NCAAF: 5-16 ATS -28.6u YTD NFL: 5-3-2 ATS +7.0u
1u = Standard Bet 4u = Max Bet   1u Jets +11 Taking the Jets with the points tonight. The Jets seem to always play the Patriots tough in Foxboro under Rex Ryan, and that was with Mark Sanchez at QB. Now Geno Smith isn't much of an improvement, but i do consider him an improvement over Sanchez. He has some mobility and can make plays with his legs if need be. We already saw Manuel have some success last week against this NE defense. The most concerning part of this game I have would be laying 11 points with that NE offense. They struggled last week with all those new pieces and now have to play tonight on a shortened week without their leading rusher from a week ago and leading pass catcher from a week ago. Brady is gonna find it hard to convert those 3rd downs without Amendola in the game. If the Jets don't shoot themselves in the foot, aka more than 2 turnovers, they should be able to hang within 11 points. And hell who knows maybe the Jets can pull the upset tonight.   Prediction: New England gets the W, 24-20     NCAAF PLAYS FOR TONIGHT BELOW   1u TCU -3 1. TCU has the better defense. TCU should be able to control the line of scrimmage tonight and gets Devonte Fields back, one hell of a playmaker at d line. 2. TCU has more experience at QB. In a close game Boykin has had the experience to manage the game and make plays. Hell he almost lead TCU back from t... [More]

Fox's **Week 2: 9/7 NCAAF Picks**

YTD NCAAF: 2-11 ATS -22.5uYTD NFL: 0-1 ATS -2.2u
As you can see a bad start to the year. It's gonna turn around eventually, and we have the whole year to get it back and get into the black.
1u = Standard Bet4u = Max Bet
2u Kentucky -17Kentucky is a far superior team physically here. They should be able to dominate the line of scrimmage and run through Miami Ohio.
Prediction: Kentucky 41 Miami Ohio 17

2u Notre Dame +4.5I'll take the points in what looks like it will be a costly contested contest. Both defenses should get after it, and in the end it's won by a fg or less.
Prediction: Notre Dame 30 Michigan 31

Fox's **Opening Night NFL Picks and Analysis**

NFL YTD: 0-0NCAAF TYD: 2-9 ATS -21.3u
I'm glad NFL is here, had a horrible week to start the college football year, but it's a long year, and we have a long time to be profitable again, just like last year. Picks are below.
1u = Standard Bet4u = Max Bet
2u Baltimore Ravens +7.5For starters, laying 7 points in the NFL is a lot of points, and it's not like Baltimore is going to be a bad team this year.  For example let's look at another game this week to compare lines.
I'm talking about the Raiders @ Colts game. This game is listed at Colts -10 right now. I think we can all agree that the level of talent between the Colts and Raiders far exceeds to difference between the Ravens and Broncos. Yet the Raiders are only 2.5 points difference here than the Ravens who also face a "better" team. I put better in quotes because it's a new season and time will tell. Now to me that's a little scary. Either the Raiders should be getting more points or the Ravens should be getting less. In actuality I think it's a little bit of both. Yes the Raiders should prolly be getting around 13 IMO, and the Ravens should prolly only be 3/4 point dogs IMO. Enough talk about the line tho.
Let's look at a few matchups. For starters we cant discount the fact that the Broncos are playing without 3 key defensive players and leaders. One of which is on the opposite side tonight, and I'm sure Dumervil has given Flacco and this offense plenty of advice on playing his former ... [More]

Fox's NCAAF Week 2 Leans and Discussion

I'm not usually one to discuss my leans or what not for the week, mostly because I don't really get down to crunching the numbers the day or two before.

Note*** these are only games in which I literally have just seen the line. Every week I'll jot down the games in which I interested in, then go through the matchups and analysis of each team. I then decide if it's a no play or how many units I feel comfortable risking. So here we go... A few leans for me.....

Florida -3

Kentucky -17

Cincy -9

Georgia -3

BYU +7.5

Toledo +17

Arkansas St.+13

Baylor -27

Kent St.+7

ULL +10.5

Michigan -3

San Jose St. +27.5

Fox's **9/2 NCAAF Picks and Analysis**

YTD NCAAF: 2-8 -18.3u
Well can't say too much other than I've been on the wrong side of some unlucky games and that I've poorly capped a few others, like the Ohio game yesterday. Will get it going eventually, stay positive. Tonight's picks below.
1u Pittsburgh 1H +6 (+100)
2u Pitt/Fl St. 1H UNDER 24 (-115)
Heres the thing, both these teams will try to run the ball tonight, and run a lot.  Both offenses have inexperience at the Qb position and I see this game starting slow. I think Fl st pulls away in the second half because their defense will just be too overwhelming through the course of the game. Look for a second half bet from me as well. I'm not comfortable taking Pitt for the game when I just don't know how many points they will be able to put up. The public hammered Louisville yesterday and they are bound to get beat here shortly, I just don't know if that game is tonight.
First half prediction: Pitt 6 Fl.St 10
Game prediction: Pitt 16 Fl St. 30

BOL to everyone.

Fox's **9/1 NCAAF Picks and Analysis**

YTD NCAAF: 2-6 ATS -13.5u

Not the way I wanted to start the year, but Ive had worse days. Let's right the ship today. Don't have much time for a writeup today. Picks are below.

4u Ohio +21.5 **MAX BET**
Theres no way Louisville is a top 10 team in my opinion. Throw this team is the SEC and they prob get  7 wins. Yes they won a lot of games last year, but many were hardly impressive. Ohio is experienced team, and has the capability of pulling the upset. Ohio will put some scare in Louisville today.

1u Louiville Team Total UNDER 40 (-120)
Louisville reached 40 or more only twice in 13 games last year, and think Ohio can hold them below it here today.

Fox's **Week 1, 8/31 NCAAF Picks and Analysis**

YTD NCAAF: 1-2 ATS (-2.3u)

Pending: 2u Texas Tech -4
Two plays for today, and I really like both of them. BOL everybody.
3u TCU +6Going with TCU here in what I believe is going to be a close game the whole way. Looking at LSU last year they played 8 games that finished within one possession. 6 of those eight were within 6 points of less. LSU is going to be a good team this year again, but probably not quite as good as last years team. They return a lot of pieces offensively and are sure to pound the running game as much as possible. The biggest weakness, if you want to call it that, in this LSU team will be the turnover at the defensive line. Now I'm sure they will be great by the end of the season, but they lost a lot of playmaking ability at that position. LSU's style permits close games, and I don't see why it won't be another game that finishes within 6 points.
Now onto this TCU team and why I think they have a chance to pull the upset. For starters they get Casey Pachall back which will help this passing game tremendously. They also get dynamic running back Waymon James back from injury. Now TCU did lose 2 of their to 3 pass catchers from a year ago, but there is plenty of talent left at the WR position. Plus with Casey running the offense, it should help a lot. The biggest reason I'm high on TCU in this spot though is because of their defense. This will be the best defense in the Big 12 easily in my opinion for 2013. This defen... [More]

Fox's **8/30 NCAAF Picks and Analysis**

NCAAF: 1-2 ATS  -2.3u
Couple of tough breaks last night, especially with Vanderbilt leading 21-10 at the half, and how the game ended. On to the next one.
Tonight reminds me a lot of last year. I remember the SMU@ Baylor game and the public was siding with Baylor in that one. I backed SMU and said that Garret Gilbert can get the job done against a Big 12 school. Boy was I wrong as Baylor crushed SMU in that one. Now SMU is a different team here, but they still have Gilbert running the offense and they aren't much improved, if at all from a year ago in my opinion. Now SMU is at home for this one, but I'm not making the same mistake twice. I'll be backing Texas Tech tonight and below is why.
2u Texas Tech -4Texas Tech OffenseThere is one advantage I think Tech will have in this game offensively. That's is their running game vs. SMU front seven. SMU has a ton of turnover to their front seven from a year ago and I imagine they will have trouble stopping a Big 12 running attack in their first game of the year, even if it is at home. Tech has an experienced trio of running backs and they will use them. The offense is the same with the internal promotion of Kingbury and I expect the running game to thrive tonight against SMU. Tech should have a problem getting to 200 yards rushing tonight. Now SMU does have an experienced secondary, but of they have to continually help in run support or don't get help from the front seven to get pressure on the QB... [More]

Fox's 8/29 **Opening Night NCAAF Picks and Analysis**

2u Vanderbilt +3.5Going with Vandy here at home with the extra FG. A lot to look at in this game, but in the end I don't think Vandy should be a dog at home, in their season opener. Yes Ole Miss was much improved from 2011-2012, but they are still a young squad and asking any team to go on the road in the SEC and get W against a good team is still a difficult task. For me there will be 3 keys to the game, and areas to watch.
Bo Wallace vs. Vanderbilt SecondaryFrom what I saw last year Wallace is a decent Qb. He can make plays through the air and ground and is capable of making Ole Miss a top 25 team this year. But tonight he's going against an experienced and very good Vandy secondary who was 14th against the pass last year. Im still giving a slight advantage here to Vandy, as Wallace has shown to throw some costly interceptions. Key player to watch: Andre Hal, CB, Vanderbilt. This guy is a ball hawk and I look for him to make a play or two tonight.
Can Vandys front four contain the running game of Ole Miss?Vandy did have a few weaknesses last year and one was their front 4 on defense. Losing some key players hasn't made their line better from an experience standpoint and if they fail to get Ole Miss into passing situations, it could be troublesome.
Special TeamsThe biggest difference in these two teams is special teams. Ole miss was horrible on special teams last year and Vandy was one of the best in the country. Special teams can make any team look a li... [More]
