Easiest bet on Sunday

The New York Yankees (-132)

We have Mark Buehrle on the mound, a pitcher that had retired 45 straight batters.

Reasons I will be on the Yankees:

1.  The entire COUNTRY knows how well Buehrle has pitched.

2.  The Sox hit lefties very well

3.  The Sox have dominated the Yankees for the first 3 games.

4.  Yanks bettors will not chase, as they have been burned on 3 straight games and would have to face Buehrle to win their money back.

5.  With the above said, +125 for Buehrle seems quite enticing to all Yankee 1-3 game backers.

With all this Buehrle and the White Sox are at home around +125 or better!

Researching a little bit

The Whitesox's collectively hit CC @ .220 ba

Konerko is .190
Thome is .140
AJ Pierszinski is .167
Quentin  is .143
Dye is the only respectable one against CC hitting .302

awful numbers......

The Yankee's hit Buerhle at a .276 ba

Jeter is .400
Damon is .255
Texiera is .313
ARod is .200

No disrespect Mrbator however,
The last 3 times I bet on cc i got burned,
sure the yanks are too good to be swept and they hit lefties real well, as the stats suggests.

The stats failed to show that danks loss came against the yanks in 2007 when he was a rookie as much as the stats did not show zambrano's true era.

My dislike for cc is personal and based on my losing bets on him. burhe just pitches 2 awesome games and the sox bats are on fire.

I am a rookie and I hope no one follows me but like I said I won't bet spit on cc and I have parlayed the sox twice.

Arod ted and jeter are great players but the whole team has to be firing on all cylinders to beat the sox as they have gained confidence and momentum with taking 3 including burnett the yansk stopper who basically is a flop and just leaned what he needed to succeed from doc when he was with the jays.
I also believe cc is ovverated as he could over power the nl teams but the al teams are a different calibre of hitters.

All in all anything can happen in baseball so Bet Whoever you have a gut feeling on folks.

Good Luck to all and Hope we all win

Agreed with the Yankees....

That's because you're betting on him right after you've seen him pitch well and win easily.  As this season's trends clearly show, that is the opposite of what you should be doing.  Basically, you go against him after he wins easily and you go with him after he takes a tough loss.

Great Insight again MrBator.

If Chicago played in the Eastern Division they would be in fourth place, nine games behind the Yankees.

If I play this game i'll be on New York.

If they lose, Boston has a damm good shot at regaining first place.

White sox have outscored the yankees 27-11 in these first 3 games, is that any indication that maybe the yankees arent batting well compared to sox? Let alone both pitchers today are head to head imo in skill

You know in Targets thread saying that I was leaning heavy Nationals (which i still am).

As of right now I am going to lay off them and the game all together (I already won with the Nats once on the road in this series, should I really risk it again?)

Not saying I won't play the Nats closer to game time, if I do I will post in this thread.

No, that happened 6 weeks ago in Florida.  He's since pitched in two other day games.

This thread is terrible.

One day it's "fade the public" and now it's "outsmart the public." Just cap the games based on the stats and the situation. Stop trying to figure out this "public" stuff and "what Vegas wants you to do" crap.

How can you possibly back the Yankees after getting stomped out the first three games?

I've lost on CC a few times already this year, so I won't bet on him for that reason...if it wasn't for that I'd be betting on the Yanks.
