LAST NIGHT GEORGETOWN +7 LOSER

HOYAS TOOK WAY TOO LONG TO ADJUST AND GET COMFORTABLE WITHOUT FREEMAN IN THE LINEUP. HAD THEY STARTED EARLY THERE IS NO WAY THEY LOSE BY THE AMOUNT THEY GOT BEAT BY. ANYHOW ON TO TONIGHT..

TONIGHT:

CINCINNATI BEARCATS +4

VILLANOVA GUYS ARE OVERRATED THEY CLEARLY ARENT AS GOOD AS EVERYONE HAD THOUGHT THEY ARE AND TONIGHT AT CINCY THEY WILL STRUGGLE ONCE AGAIN. CINCINATTI IS JUST TOO PHYSICAL FOR NOVA (BEARCATS RANK 11TH NATIONALLY IN REBOUNDING MARGIN) AND AT HOME FOR SENIOR NIGHT THE BEARCATS WILL BRING AN INSPIRED EFFORT. I LIKED WHAT I SAW FROM CINCINNATI IN MORGANTOWN ON SATURDAY EARLY AND TONIGHT I SEE THAT CARRYING OVER TO A BIG VICTORY WITH A MORE COMPLETE EFFORT. OVER THE LAST 5 GAMES BOTH TEAMS HAVE PLAYED ALMOST ABOUT THE SAME WITH NOVA SHOOTING FREE THROWS BETTER AND CINCINATTI REBOUNDING BETTER. AT HOME HOWEVER WHERE CINCINNATI IS 12-3 INCLUDING WINS OVER NOTRE DAME, UCONN, SOUTH FLORIDA AND CLOSE GAMES AGAINST MARQUETTE AND PITT, THE BEARCATS HOLD AN ADVANTAGE OVER VILLANOVA. NOVA WHOSE CONFIDENCE RIGHT NOW IS SHOT WILL STRUGGLE WITH A TEAM WHOSE BACK IS AGAINST THE WALL ON SENIOR NIGHT. A WIN FOR THE BEARCATS WILL BE HUGE AS RIGHT NOW THEY ARE ON THE BUBBLE FOR THE BIG DANCE, RANKING 58TH IN THE RPI THANKS TO THE NATIONS 17TH TOUGHEST SCHEDULE. PEOPLE SEEM TO FORGET THIS TEAM HAS WINS OVER MARYLAND AND VANDERBILT. GUYS I JUST DONT SEE NOVA COMING AWAY WITH MORE THAN A 1 POSSESION WIN, HENCE WHY I AM ON A TEAM THAT COULD VERY EASILY WIN THIS GAME OUTRIGHT!!!

May be right but UC is 0-9 ATS last 9 at home and usually play the game against good teams for about 32-34 minutes and then let the lead slip away.   Examples are WV and Syracuse and Pittsburg.  The only team they have covered against at home this year is shitty toledo early in the season.  UC has bad transition defense and can not shoot the 3 that good.  This will be exposed tonight as Villanova gets back on track with a 10 point win.  Gl with ur play man.

I really think Cincy dominates down low and controls the boards.  Unless Fisher and Reynolds are draining everything, I think Cincy wins.  With that said, I am staying far away from this game because I feel that there are better opportunities on tonights board.  Good luck.

First glance Nova looked like the most obvious play on the board. I've long since learned to look extra close at those games and figure out why the other side usually covers these "too good to be true" lines. You're write up pretty much explains it. Win or lose there isn't much Nova can do to change their expected 2-4 seed in NCAAs. Cinci has physical and emotional advantages here as you point out. Will be on this as well.

Cinci only has 2 Seniors, and only 1 of those 2 is a starter, so I don't know how much of a boost you give them for the senior night factor

I like the Senior Night angle, and the physicality of the Bearcats, but I draw a lot of similarities between this Villanova team and Marquette, a team that was able to knock off Cincy on the road earlier this year.  Both teams have good guards that can penetrate, shoot the 3 pointer well, and hit their free throws.  The Wildcats are more experienced than the Golden Eagles, however, and have shown a great abililty to bounce back from tough road losses so far this season (got crushed @ GTown, won @ WVU next game... lost @ Pitt, crushed USF by 25 the next game).  Like wise, I see some similarities between WVU and the Bearcats... good rebounding and strength, deficiencies sometimes defending good guards.

I am a fan of your threads, wish I had seen your GTown pick yesterday, as a Hoya fan I would have tried to talk you out of it!
