Monday Plays

YTD: 9-8  +0.80 units

4-2 yesterday.  Monday Night Football.......

Kansas City +2.5
Kansas City +130

Tough matchup for a struggling New England O-line.  Pats defense comes in looking stout, but that has been against the likes of Oakland, Minnesota, and Miami.  Think KC is trending in the right direction.  Chiefs getting a few guys back from injury.  Like them to do enough for the SU win.  My book is shading the 2.5 on me, so I grabbed +130 on top.  See how we do.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Sunday Plays

YTD: 5-6  -1.10 units

4 plays for the early slate.......

Carolina +3.5
Carolina +150
Green Bay -1.5
Tampa Bay +7.5

Ravens off 3 straight divisional games.  No Monroe and no Pitta will hurt.  Think they struggle to run the ball and keep pressure off Flacco.  Panthers bounce back after getting shredded by Pittsburgh.  Cutler struggles against the Packers.  Like GB to get the offense rolling against the depleted Chicago secondary.  Tampa off embarrassing loss on national TV.  Like Glennon and they get McCoy back.  Buying low.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Saturday Plays

YTD: 18-21  -3.40 units

1-1 last night.  Big card......

TCU -32
UTEP +28
NCST +18
Arkansas +9.5
Washington +7
UNC +15.5
Missouri +5
Central Michigan +13.5
Memphis +21
Notre Dame -8.5
Washington St. +13.5

SMU is a fade.  Frogs might pitch a shutout.  Kansas St. off tough loss to Auburn.  UTEP is scrappy.  FSU off OT win vs Clemson.  NCST improved, while not sure this Seminole team is as good as last year.  Arkansas will run and control tempo.  Big step up in competition for the A&M defense.  Tree young on the O-line.  Looking for a close game.  Clemson off OT loss to 'Noles.  UNC defense been like Charmin, but might catch Tigers napping.  Mizzou off loss and think SC defense struggles to contain Tigers.  Central Michigan gets a couple guys back on O.  Ole Miss in a look ahead.  Memphis can score.  Think the Orange are outclassed.  Irish D is for real.  Utah off dog win at Big House.  State can sling it.

I wanted to play a few of these dogs on the ML, but already have a massive card.  Not usually my style to play so many games, but like a lot of spots this week.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Friday Plays

YTD: 17-20  -3.30 units

0-2 last night.  1 play......

Fresno St. -3.5

Bulldogs been smacked around by the big boys.  Lobos coming off rivalry win vs State.  Fresno been looking forward to conference play.  Think they get enough stops to cover this number.  Tempted to play ODU, but not ideal spot coming off win at Rice.  Still might.  See how we do.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Thursday Plays

YTD: 17-18  -1.10 units

Got absolutely trucked last week.  Maybe played too many games.  Maybe my picks just sucked.  Oh well.  2 plays tonight.....

Oklahoma St. -14
Appalachian St. +18

Pokes have covered this number 4 years running.  TT defense in disarray.  Not a KK hater by any means, but Gundy > Kingsbury.  Could be a woodshed special.  Grabbing the points in the rivalry game.  Both teams know each other well.  Think this one stays inside the number.  See what happens.  Lean to ASU, but too much uncertainty with QB's for both sides.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Monday Plays

YTD: 5-5  +0.00 units

Bricked on Tampa last time out.  Monday Night Football......

NYJ -2

Jets better in the trenches.  Think Cutler is running for his life, while Ivory and company pound it on the ground.  Shitt if I know.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Week 4

YTD: 14-11  +4.30 units

5-4 last week, but picked up almost 3 units with a couple dogs winning SU.  Tough card at first glance, but 2 stuck out right away......

UNC
Northern Illinois

Should have been on ECU last week, but they were getting a lot of love and I got spooked.  Flip it on the Pirates this week.  Same with the Hogs.  Should be able to find a few more as the week goes on.  Insight and comments always welcome.

Monday Plays

YTD: 5-2  +3.20 units

2-0 yesterday.  Monday Night Football......

Indianapolis -3

Probably feels all warm and fuzzy getting points with Chip Kelly and his offense.  I'll go the other way.  No such thing as a safe bet, and I'm always weary of a wager that makes me you feel good.  Might go up in flames, but I'll take ballsy over safe every time.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Saturday Plays

YTD: 9-7  +1.50 units

Bricked with Toledo last night.  Full card.....

Central Florida +10.5
Virginia +6.5
Virginia +200
South Carolina +6.5
South Carolina +210
Rutgers +3.5
Rutgers +150
South Alabama +13
UNLV +10

No time for writeups.   Headed downtown for the O's and Yanks with my old man.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 6-6  -0.90 units

Here we go.  3 plays.....

Louisiana Tech +3.5
Louisiana Tech +150
Houston +17

Like Sokol.  Think the Mean Green are just that, a little green.  Grabbing the points with Houston.  Helluva game last year.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Monday Plays

YTD: 2-2  +0.20 units

Monday Night Football....

Detroit -5

I'm playing the double reverse, public gonna get buried, reverse line movement, conspiracy line angle here.  The books already know what the final score is gonna be, and all you suckers are gonna burn money on the G-Men.  Good luck with that.

Really?  Who actually puts their money on the line with this logic?  Seems like the board was filled these comments today.

Think Detroit is better in the trenches.  Caldwell on the sidelines should negate some of the stupidity we saw under Schwartz.  Doesn't mean they cover, but I'll throw my money at the home team who should be improved, rather than backing a NYG team that is banged up and learning new systems.  See what happens.

Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Sunday Plays

YTD: 0-0

Here we go.  3 plays......

Atlanta +3
Atlanta +140
Baltimore -1.5

In a hurry.  Saints OTR, no thanks.  ATL is healthy.  Good spot for a Raven win.  Dalton not so good at M&T.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Saturday Plays

YTD: 3-3  -0.3 units

1-0 last time out.  5 plays.....

Navy -3
Michigan St. +13
Virginia Tech +11.5
San Diego St. +16
Colorado St. +9

Navy off tough game with OSU.  Temple off big win vs SEC team.  Might be feeling pretty good.  Midshipmen undefeated at the Linc.  Think Sparty D keeps it inside the number.  Same with Hokies.  Heels D has their hands full.  Think the Aztecs hang.  CSU can run.  This one goes down to the wire.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Thursday Plays

YTD: 2-3  -1.30 units

Not a great start last week, but was traveling and literally watched no football.  1 play for tonight.......

UTSA +7.5

Veteran team with a veteran coach.  Taking a shot with the Thursday night home dog.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Thursday Plays

YTD: 0-0

Ready for some football?  2 plays......

Boise St. +11
Temple +13.5

Everyone expects Ole Miss to make a statement and just roll over Boise.  Rebels are getting a lot of noise, and have all the expectations and pressure.  Harsin is a Boise guy, and inherits a pretty talented group.  I'll grab the Broncos in the underdog role.  Temple and Vanderbilt are going in opposite directions.  Commodores over achieved under Franklin, and are basically starting new.  Temple finished last season strong with Walker under center.  Think they are on the uptick, and have a shot to win SU.  If I had any balls at all, I would play the ML.  Still might....

I'm not as versed in football as a lot of you guys, but will pick my spots and see if we can turn a profit.  I love college sports and look forward to another season.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Saturday Plays

YTD: 152-149  +21.70 units

0-2 last night.  2 plays.....

Baltimore -115
Miami -100

Like Norris here.  Think the O's get to the kid.  Koehler improving, and Fish in good form.  Headed to Pickels to watch the game.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Passing on Charles, Forte, and Lynch

10 team keeper league.  Starting with Demaryius in the 2nd and Gio with a 6th.  Picking 3rd.  All 3 of those RB's will be available.  There is a chance that Peyton, Brees, and Rodgers will all be available.  Worst case scenario is only Rodgers will be there.  If Brees is gone, AJ Green is there, too.

I don't like any of those RB's this year.  Overpaying for Charles, who gets the NFC West.  Forte and Lynch both have previous work load issues.  I want to pair up my current keepers with a top 3 QB, rather than get busted on one of those 3 RB's.  I think there is enough RB depth to be had later in the draft.  Half point PPR.

Am I crazy?

Tuesday Plays

YTD: 149-144  +23.35 units

2-1 last night.  2 plays......

Cincinnati +105
San Diego +105

Cueto in good form and opened as the favorite.  Tomlin is a fade.  Hughes peaked 2 months ago. The Padres are finally healthy and have quietly won 10 of last 15.  Hahn is 4-0 as a road pup.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Monday Plays

YTD: 147-143  +21.90 units

1-1 yesterday.  3 plays.....

Baltimore +130
Tampa Bay +130
LAA +115

Think Both Gausman and Roark do well, and we see a close game.  Gausman has faced tougher competition than what the Nats bring to the table.  Oakland isn't exactly crushing the ball right now, and Cobb is in good form.  Rays are a tough bunch to strikeout.  I'll gamble with Richards at +EV.  Kinda feel like a sucker making these plays.  Oh well.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 146-142  +21.45 units

1-3 yesterday.  2 plays......

Milwaukee +125
Kansas City +145

YTD: 145-139  +23.75 units

2-2 last night.  4 plays.....

Texas +155
NYM -125
Cincinnati +105
Toronto -130

Rangers hit LHP, and roughed up House earlier in the year.  DeGrom has been lights out, and better at home.  Bailey in good form, Eovaldi is not.  Think RA dazzles the free swinging Astros.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Friday Plays

YTD: 143-137  +22.35 units

1-1 last night.  4 plays.......

Seattle +140
Philadelphia +200
Tampa Bay +100
Milwaukee +140

Taking some shots tonight.  The dog went 3-1 when Baltimore was in Seattle last week.  Elias is 4-2 as a road pup.  Think these two play close games all weekend.  Hernandez gives the Phillies a chance.  Nats lineup hasn't been all that scary.  Everyone expects the Rays to just mail it in after trading Price.  I'll go the other way.  Wainwright is not in good form, and I still don't think he is 100%.  Peralta competes.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Monday Plays

YTD: 136-134  +17.40 units

2-1 last time out.  2 plays......

Arizona +120
Toronto +125

Anderson in good form.  Cincinnati is not.  Jays get Buchholz for the 4th time this year.  I'll grab RA at +EV.  Leaning to the Mets.  Colon been money at home.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Tuesday Plays

YTD: 131-131  +13.60 units

3-0 last night.  3 plays......

Miami +165
CWS +110
Tampa Bay +140

Both Minor and Turner have struggled this year.  R/L splits favor the Fish, so I'll gamble with Turner.  Considering recent form, I don't think Chen should be favored here.  Taking a shot with Odo, who was a tough luck loser last time he squared off against Wainwright.  Rays are tough to strike out, and think we see a close game.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Monday Plays

YTD: 128-131  +9.75 units

2-1 yesterday.  3 plays.....

LAD -105
Texas +165
Baltimore +120

Short line for Volquez.  Think Ryu dominates.  You guys can have Shane Green at -180.  I'll gamble the other way.  Norris on a bounce back, and has good numbers vs the Halos.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL
