Thursday Plays

YTD: 0-0

Ready for some football?  2 plays......

Boise St. +11
Temple +13.5

Everyone expects Ole Miss to make a statement and just roll over Boise.  Rebels are getting a lot of noise, and have all the expectations and pressure.  Harsin is a Boise guy, and inherits a pretty talented group.  I'll grab the Broncos in the underdog role.  Temple and Vanderbilt are going in opposite directions.  Commodores over achieved under Franklin, and are basically starting new.  Temple finished last season strong with Walker under center.  Think they are on the uptick, and have a shot to win SU.  If I had any balls at all, I would play the ML.  Still might....

I'm not as versed in football as a lot of you guys, but will pick my spots and see if we can turn a profit.  I love college sports and look forward to another season.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

0-2 last night.  2 plays.....

Baltimore -115

Like Norris here.  Think the O's get to the kid.  Koehler improving, and Fish in good form.  Headed to Pickels to watch the game.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Passing on Charles, Forte, and Lynch

10 team keeper league.  Starting with Demaryius in the 2nd and Gio with a 6th.  Picking 3rd.  All 3 of those RB's will be available.  There is a chance that Peyton, Brees, and Rodgers will all be available.  Worst case scenario is only Rodgers will be there.  If Brees is gone, AJ Green is there, too.

I don't like any of those RB's this year.  Overpaying for Charles, who gets the NFC West.  Forte and Lynch both have previous work load issues.  I want to pair up my current keepers with a top 3 QB, rather than get busted on one of those 3 RB's.  I think there is enough RB depth to be had later in the draft.  Half point PPR.

Am I crazy?

Tuesday Plays

YTD: 149-144  +23.35 units

2-1 last night.  2 plays......

Cincinnati +105
San Diego +105

Cueto in good form and opened as the favorite.  Tomlin is a fade.  Hughes peaked 2 months ago. The Padres are finally healthy and have quietly won 10 of last 15.  Hahn is 4-0 as a road pup.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

Monday Plays

YTD: 147-143  +21.90 units

1-1 yesterday.  3 plays.....

Baltimore +130
Tampa Bay +130
LAA +115

Think Both Gausman and Roark do well, and we see a close game.  Gausman has faced tougher competition than what the Nats bring to the table.  Oakland isn't exactly crushing the ball right now, and Cobb is in good form.  Rays are a tough bunch to strikeout.  I'll gamble with Richards at +EV.  Kinda feel like a sucker making these plays.  Oh well.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 146-142  +21.45 units

1-3 yesterday.  2 plays......

2-2 last night.  4 plays.....

Texas +155
NYM -125
Cincinnati +105
Toronto -130

Rangers hit LHP, and roughed up House earlier in the year.  DeGrom has been lights out, and better at home.  Bailey in good form, Eovaldi is not.  Think RA dazzles the free swinging Astros.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 143-137  +22.35 units

1-1 last night.  4 plays.......

Seattle +140
Philadelphia +200
Tampa Bay +100
Milwaukee +140

Taking some shots tonight.  The dog went 3-1 when Baltimore was in Seattle last week.  Elias is 4-2 as a road pup.  Think these two play close games all weekend.  Hernandez gives the Phillies a chance.  Nats lineup hasn't been all that scary.  Everyone expects the Rays to just mail it in after trading Price.  I'll go the other way.  Wainwright is not in good form, and I still don't think he is 100%.  Peralta competes.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 136-134  +17.40 units

2-1 last time out.  2 plays......

Arizona +120
Toronto +125

Anderson in good form.  Cincinnati is not.  Jays get Buchholz for the 4th time this year.  I'll grab RA at +EV.  Leaning to the Mets.  Colon been money at home.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

3-0 last night.  3 plays......

Miami +165
CWS +110
Tampa Bay +140

Both Minor and Turner have struggled this year.  R/L splits favor the Fish, so I'll gamble with Turner.  Considering recent form, I don't think Chen should be favored here.  Taking a shot with Odo, who was a tough luck loser last time he squared off against Wainwright.  Rays are tough to strike out, and think we see a close game.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 128-131  +9.75 units

2-1 yesterday.  3 plays.....

LAD -105
Texas +165
Baltimore +120

Short line for Volquez.  Think Ryu dominates.  You guys can have Shane Green at -180.  I'll gamble the other way.  Norris on a bounce back, and has good numbers vs the Halos.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

My boy made a headline on covers

New York Giants right guard Chris Snee retired today.  He's not really my boy, as he was a year younger than me and a lot better friends with my brother, but I played basketball and baseball with him in high school.  Amazing athlete, and even better person.  Type of guy you are proud to know. Wish him the best.

Houston +115
Tampa Bay -130
Baltimore +155

Taking a shot with the Astros against a lefty.  Cosart coming off 2 bad outings, but has been profitable as a dog.  Think Correia gets smacked.  Gausman is legit.  I'll grab the generous number.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 123-126  +9.35 units

Lets get the second half started.  3 plays......

Cleveland +135
Philadelphia +140
Tampa Bay -125

Taking a shot with the Tribe.  Bauer in good form going into the break.  Atlanta struggles with strikeout righties.  Burnett spun 7 shutout innings last time against these Braves.  Looking for a split here.  Gibson strikes out no one, and the Rays lit him up back in April.  Think Cobb goes on a run in the second half.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

1-1 last night.  3 plays......

Pittsburgh -100
San Diego +120
Arizona +140

Reds are banged up, and Latos has been fortunate.  Splits favor Locke and the Bucs.  Hahn is legit.  Taking a shot against Haren, who SD has seen twice this year.  Snakes own Lincecum and looks like they will get Trumbo back.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

0-3 last night.  2 plays......

CWS +130
Kansas City +105

The King struggles at Cellular.  Quintana in good form, and the M's not the best against LHP.  Guthrie competes.  Think House gets knocked around.  On a slide.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

2-0 last night.  3 plays......

Texas +130
Philadelphia +125
St. Louis +110

Bad spot for McFarland.  Henderson is smoke and mirrors.  Fading Timmy after the no-no.  He got rocked last year after he blanked SD.  The kid for STL is legit.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

2-1 yesterday.  2 plays.......

Tampa Bay +100
CHC +120

Rays are hitting and scoring of late, while the Yankees are not.  Archer has good numbers vs the Bombers.  Arrieta has been downright dominant in his last 4 starts.  Peavy is past his prime, and has been very hittable.  The Cubs have knocked around better RHP over the last 2 weeks.  See what happens.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

1-2 last night.  2 plays......

Washington -125
Cincinnati +105

Nats hit LHP.  Cubs struggle with RHP.  Think Leake will do well pitching in the big park. Maybe the Giants are a little flat after celebrating the no-no last night.  That's all I got.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL

YTD: 106-102  +13.75 units

1-2 last night.  3 plays......

NYM +105
LAD +130
Houston +115

Second straight lefty for the Mets.  Wheeler on the rise.  He has shown a propensity to flop after giving up 0 runs, but in all of those instances his next start was OTR.  No chance the Mets take 2 in a row from the mighty A's.  Shields been getting knocked around.  Haren competes.  Think this game is a coin flip, so I'll back the pitcher in better form at a generous number.  Lefty/righty splits favor Houston.  I pretty much back McHugh every time he's dogged.  See how we do.  Insight and comments always welcome.  BOL
