Panthers -3.5
Ravens -4

Panthers -3.5 = of course the big story in Carolina has been the play of #1 pick Cam Newton and nobody can argue with that, the rookie has played like a beast and on the ladder end the Jags have decided to through untested #10 pick rookie Blake Gabbert into the fire. I have already said I do not believe the Jags are a good football team this year, with out the existence of past stud fantasy running back Jones-Drew nobody would know this team existed...they snuck one out in week 1 vs an asleep for the first half Titans team then turned around and got hammered by the Jets while struggling to produce any offense on the road.

The Panthers & Cam have looked very productive in the pass game (#2 ranked in passing yards per game) but look for them to get some more work going on the ground attack this week, which will in turn open it back up for big play possibilities down field via Newton. The Panthers have been in two dog fights that came down to the final quarter including one with the defending super bowl champs Green Bay.

The Jags coming into their 2nd straight road game while that Panthers are at home for the 2nd straight week. Im watching Cam and the Panthers to stay competitive & productive while the Jags and newby Gabbert will struggle offensively. Cam continues to show leadership skills and picks up his first Victory at home.

Ravens -4 = the Ravens are a good team coming off a very disappointing performance after a big week1 win, they are coming to play with intentions of proving a point. This is a veteran team that understands they can not go 1-2 and reach the goals they have set for themselves.

Sam Bradford has played well but Stephen Jackson is still their best player at this point and he has been hit with the injury bug as usual. Even if he does play I don't believe he can produce at 100% not to mention the Ravens D is 4th in Rush Yards allowed while on the ladder the Rams Defense is 32nd in Rush Yards allowed....the Ravens are drooling at their mouth looking at this, they are built to crush this team!

I don't believe this is the Rams week, they could put up some points early but the Ravens veteran squad should respond and their offense should wear down the Rams D who is coming off a short week.

After watching a very painful MNF game between the Giants and Rams, i just done see how anyone could trust their money to the sloppy and undisciplined play of the rams.  They could play well but after MNF i just cant see taking that chance until they prove they can settle down and handle some pressure

I agree with you, Rams look like they need to get all on the same page before they can be trusted.

Also leaning on:

Bucs -1.5
Cards -3.5
Vikings +3.5
Houston +4
Redskins +6.5

With you on the Ravens. They were going to have a letdown last week and should come back to form against a team that can't take advantage of the Ravens injuries in the secondary.

I'm a bit weary of the Panthers though. Lost 2 starting linebackers for the year against a team that will, no doubt, run it 40+ times this week. James Starks & Beanie Wells were very productive against Carolina and didn't get the touches MJD & Karim will get this week. Might be better plays on the board.

The 2 linebackers out for Carolina is for sure something to consider, the way Iam looking at it is there D has not played all that well so far and they still have been in both games due to the high performance of the offense...im looking for that to continue while the Jags will struggle to be consistent, plus I just think it is tough for a struggling team juggling QBs in and out to travel on back to back weeks while the Panthers have been posted up at home the last 2 weeks.

Starting to lean more on the Raiders at home +3 ... any thoughts?

Just locked in another play:  Raiders +3

Raiders +3 = I like the fact that the Raiders have proven they can run the ball with their 1-2 combo & the fact that they are at home for the first time this season...should be a great home atmosphere for the 1&1 Raiders in the black hole come sunday while the Jets are forced to travel cross country after coming off a blow out win that gave no resistance.

The Jets have some O-line problems including an injury at the center spot that will effect their offensive production in one way or another, don't under estimate the Raiders' D-line ability. I think it will be a competitive game for these two teams, I will take the points at home with a healthy McFadden rushing at 5.3 yds a carry leading the wagon.

2 More Plays for week 3:

Houston +4
Tampa Bay -1.5

Bucs -1.5 = Falcons are heading down to Tampa coming off an emotional victory last week, a game in which the better team did not win... and don't forget that the Bears who can not pass protect if their life's depended on it spanked this teams little hiney in week 1. A big Divisional home game for a young & talented Bucs team who I think will show up this week both on the ground with Blount and passing via Josh Freeman with shades of last season.

These teams are basically the same squads as last season where both Divisional games were close, only this year the Bucs are a little bit more experienced on the field and will come ready to play at home after beating a Vikings team that I honestly don't think is that bad and should give the Lions a run this sunday. Atlanta will be outside of their nice dome with 30% chance of rain as of now. If Tampa avoids mental eras and turnovers they win this game.

Texans +4 = Two good teams going at it on this one. Saints have been tested so far this year while this will be the first real test for the Texans. Houston is riding a wave of momentum where they have not missed a beat with Foster out & the saints are coming off a big win a little dinged up. This is the time to shine year for the Texans A.K.A. its time to shit or get off the pot!

The Texans can strike fast & big through the air via Schaub and the best WR in the game or they can pound it out with a good O-line and Tate carrying the rock. The Saints "D" will be forced to stay honest as I do not see them getting out to an early lead in this one.

I know it has only been 2 weeks but Wade Phillips has this defense playing! He wasn't the best head coach in the NFL but Defense is what he knows and is what he should stick with... Only allowing 10 points a game & #1 in pass yards allowed not to mention a solid 3-4 coming at you charged by a super freak outside linebacker Mr. Mario Williams. This could be a seesaw battle staying close and the difference being 1 score. If the Texans can hold NOLA under 24 points they should win out right either way I like the Texans with the 4 points.

Nice write-ups.
Im with you on the Ravens and Cards

Be careful with HOU though. This is NO's last home game before starting their longest road trip of the year. They are going to come out fired up for the home crowd.
HOU on the other hand has two home games after this week, facing PIT at home week 4. This may be a spot where they look ahead to next week a little bit.
And its Brees with 6TD/0INT (@GB, vsCHI)
vs Schaub 3TD/2INT (vsIND, @MIA)
Brees average 1+ more TD/game and 1 less INT/game, and hes had the tougher opponents. HOU will turn it over at least once and NO should win by a TD.

there's no way HOU is looking ahead it has been mentioned many times that they have never started 3-0 and have always blown oppurtunities to miss the playoffs after good starts, their defense and team is getting no respect from who they beat in weeks 1 and 2 as people say they still haven't beaten a good team, their D is gonna be pissed cause people say their number 1 ranking is a fraud, Vilma is out

and forget about the Dome Factor the Texans have played Peyton Manning so many times in Indy for big divisional games so they'll be used to it
