Digger Phelps: Sherlock Clueless

Did anyone catch Digger Phelps' pre-tourney pick sketch on ESPN?

It was certainly clever, Phelps as some sort of detective trying to pick the winner of the collegiate basketball championship. The piece culminated with Digger choosing the Pittsburgh Panthers to win it all.

His brief role as a dick (slang for detective) makes even more sense now!

Digger is a Dick!

All of Las Vegas hates this clown.

Why does CBS keep this Idiot ?

He bashes UNLV every chance he gets.

Hope come to Las Vegas for a real surprise bash!!!

I can't wait to hear him wiggle out of his pick with some asinine commentary. In fact, I hope he and Dick Vitale break into some WWF moves on the ESPN set. I'd love to see Vitale shove Digger's highlighter into his ear.

Honestly, I dig Digger. And really, I don't think that anyone thought Villanova would play this good in the tournament.

Digger Phelps and Hubert Davis are both practically unbearable. Just masters of the obvious and rarely engaging. The best analysts ESPN has are Jay Bilas and Bob Knight; they should give more time to those two.

Why would Digger Phelps and Dick Vitale break out into some "World Wildlife Fund" moves?

While you might not particularly like Digger Hubert, or even Dickie V, they are nowhere near the terrible personnel CBS shoves down our throat year-after-year !!! I had high hopes when they got rid of Billy Packer, but it's only gotten worse ...

The only good ones are Jay, Raft, Lundquist, and maybe Wenzel ... the rest are as Charles Barkley sez: "Terrrrrr-i-ble"
