Sabine Lisicki Love Thread

I love the value in playing Sabine Lisicki (+180) over Dinara Safina, Tuesday morning (American time).

Perhaps the public dollars lean towards Dinara based on Sabine's poor first round play. However, she bounced back to beat French Open champion Svetlana Kuznetsova, and then Caroline Wozniacki.

She has a wicked serve, and, albeit brief, history on her side -- a three set victory over Safina in last year's Australian Open.

And last but not least, Lisicki is a real looker. In my humble, somewhat perverted opinion, it always feels better to lose money betting on a beautiful underdog than a fugly, overpriced favorite.

Cheers to Germany's Sabine Lisicki!

the world #1 is paying this much vs an unseeded player? where every other quarter final involves seeded players playing seeded players, and every favourite from those matches is paying less than the favourite playing an unseeded player is paying here?

If it wasn't true it'd be laughable

I concur, the time to auto fade Safina is the next round

this match is on course to go down as the biggest choke fest in the history of women's tennis, which is truly saying something.

Thanks a lot, Lisicki!

For such a beautiful tennis player, your game lacks passion.

And I'm quite surprised that the oft-angst ridden Safina kept her nerves in check.

Congrats, Safina, you beat a decent opponent who simply gave up.

King Serf.....whenever you find an underdog you really like to win, chances are they win the first set.  Yesterday I played Mouremso 1st set, it won, but she lost match...same thing happen today. Its their best shot in my opinion.  As they just wear down as time goes on.

I almost got sucked in...thats why top tennis cappers had Sabine in 2 or Safina in 3...Sabine is horrible in 3 setters only winning once...

Lisicki gagged - 42 unforced errors and her 1st serve went into the tank (less than 50% after the 1st set), all when she had Safina bent over ready to take a 10 foot dildo up the ass

women's tennis - no woman ever met a winning position she couldn't choke away

I saw Safina  win 2 - 1 for +293 or something, I liked it.  But a perfedct scenerio has to occur.  I thought quick money, would be over 1st set, sabine first set.  All 3 I passed on.

the Safina autofade strategy has officially failed. If you have been fading Safina since the beginning, you will probably need 50 units to bet on williams in the next match to win what you have lost because Safina will be a big dog.....

seriously, the only way to bet Safina is in-play. Whenever it seems like all hope is lost, you should load up on her at like +200 (yesterday after set1) or +140 (today). And whenever it seems like she will cruise to victory, load up on her opponent. These european girls are so mentally and emotionally weak, it's ridiculous.

Big Ocean ..... I agree with that, she always looks hopeless and battlesback at good prices.

don't know if I came across clearly but I liked Safina earlier, what I was saying is that from here on out, I will likely be auto-fading...however, nice write up...like your analysis on hitting her in-game
