Worst current MLB closers

(The purpose of this thread is to call out closers that have done you dirty and vent about them to get therapeutic relief to a certain degree)

I'll select Jonathan Broxton: Not only did he blow the save last night but has screwed me over Royally on many other save opportunities. This guy is trash, he reminds me of a new generation Armondo Benitez.. Ton of talent but just never seems to live up to it!

Feel free to add your thoughts and worst current closer to the thread!

Heath Bell (nuff said)

Marlins may let Cishek close in the second half though...

I always hated Bobby Jenks and JJ Putz.

Heath Bell seems to be the crowd favorite, thanks for sharing fellas.

I love Heath Bell. He has only gotten me once while delivering several miracle wins while on the other side.

Well I think Bell is on everyone's list simply because he was a dominant closer like the Beard.
So, I think we are all really hard on Bell because of his decline from a top 5 closer to a bottom 5 closer.
Such a remarkable yet mind boggling decline.
If I had to compare Bell to another closer it would be Brian Wagner as he too went from dominant to bum status as well.

I'm surprised Carlos Marmol isn't on this list. He's the reason I'm only willing to take the Cubs 1st 5. He has only blown 2 saves this year, and I was on the Cubs for both of them (of course).

Last year he had 10 blown saves. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get closer to that number as the season goes on.

Closers? lets talk teams; the Colorado Rockies lead the Major League in "Blown Saves" with 16, and counting, the Toronto BlueJays's bullpen have given up a league leading 41 HR, 34 have come from their 'closer' in the 9th inning-"

I am pretty sure you need to put the glue bottle away. 34 homers in the 9th inning? Give your head a shake, and put the solvent rag back in your pocket. Casey Jannsen is their new closer, and he has given up 1 long ball since he was named the closer, and 13 for 13 in save situations since he was named the teams closer. Before you start pulling numbers out of your ass, check some actual facts first.

I have to agree Todd, both closers for Toronto and Colorado are far from duds in fact I consider them both studs.

SN, you must be mentally challenged or something so I won't be too hard on your lame soul.

First off, how old am I? Come on man come better then that or I'll get my dad to beat you down LOL.

You obviously have no life asking such childish questions.

BTW if you do a little research you can find all that info in ones profile...

I have more knowledge in my pinky than you have in your entire body.

Why would you friend request me and then come on a thread I created and attempt to step in the ring with the King!??!

Get out of here you loser, I will go head to head with you in the capping game anytime and you will get embarrassed just like you did @ 4:22AM this morning! Perhaps you had too much too drink but you Sir are way out of line.

You may find yourself more at home talking your petty junk in the penalty box as they seem to talk more your language!

I don't need attention from you or anyone as my records and back round speak for itself.

Do me a favor and take me off your corny friend list as I consider you far from a friend and I have way too many good ones on here!

Have a crappy day you mute!

AC-Agreed Axford has been struggling and blew quite a few easy saves.

Casilla does have 24 saves but his era is pretty high so I am sure he did you dirty a few times this season..

mygirls-Heath Bell is the crowd favorite so far as we just can't pin point where his talent went..

Maybe they should make a movie simular to Space Jam for baseball, this way all the talented players who lose their skills get them back at the end..

Marmol certainly had an atrocious start to the season but it seems like he is back on track as of late.

All good mentions and worthy of a good bash this season...

Which would you say is the worst out of those eight closers you listed?

I may have to go with Parnell as he's blown more games then saved...

Plus he is a Met ;)
