While capping all 16 NFL games as carefully as possible (something I won't take as long doing from now on because thankfully the new TV season starts Monday!), I came across the following factoids that influenced me--and perhaps you:
--Eagles have beaten Atlanta 4 in a row, and 8 of 9 under Andy Reid.
--Oakland doesn't like to travel; 2 and 7 last 3 seasons in Eastern time zone.
--Over has hit last 9 times Broncos were favored.
--Over has hit in 14 of last 16 Cowboys' games, and 10 of last 11 vs. NFC foes.
--Miami has dropped 5 in a row and 10 of last 11 in South Beach.
Also Miami is 1 and 8 using the money line
in All home lined games the past 2 seasons.
--Patriots have gone Over 14 of last 16 as favorites; total is rising so fast, though, and Chargers are so solid defensively that I put this trend last 'cause it seems the most risky.
Finally, Hope Solo is third favorite to win "Dancing with the Stars." I'll even take the time to vote for Hope!
Good luck later today!

2 and 12 last 14 as Road Dogs BUT "Harang is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA in three outings against San Francisco this season," and has given impotent Giants just 2 runs in last 20 innings.....
Hm-m, what's a punter to do?....

"King Felix, the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner, is 6-3 in 10 career
outings NYY but is 5-0 with a 1.29 ERA in six starts against New York
since a loss in the Bronx on May 3, 2008. Two of his three complete
games during that span have come at Safeco Field .The
Seattle ace has been particularly good lately, going 3-0 with a 1.17
ERA and 26 strikeouts over 23 innings during his last three starts."
----
Meanwhile, Yanks' starter,
Hughes, is 0-1 with an 8.79 ERA in his last three starts. Dept. of
Weird but Profitable Trends: Under is 40 and 13 in Seattle's last 3
seasons when M's are -100 to -125 faves.

Weave had one start pushed back, pitched bad; then gave up 6 runs and won! (He's not used to getting more than 2 or 3 runs.)
--
Very few realize his grandfather died very recently, which obviously affected him.
----
Keep in mind, though, Jered has never lost to Yankees at home and "that Weaver is 6-0 with a 1.83 ERA over his last 10 home starts.
The right-hander, who pitched for the Angels from 2004-07 and won the Cy Young Award in 2005, is 1-0 with a 3.97 ERA in two starts against them this season."

Houston at Pittsurgh:
--Pirates 1 and 8 last 9 as favorites
--Astros 0 and 13 ML playing teams with losing records second half of season (and 9 and 43 for the past three seasons)
--On other hand, Yankees 19 and 7 on run line in home day games this season (and 47 and 20 last two seasons).
Maybe weather will force Pirates' game to be postponed and put possible punters on this game out of their misery!

--Lynx 3 and 21 SU in road games after 3 or more consecutive
Unders.
--Mystics 1 and 10 ML after allowing 75 or more points in previous
game.

--Alouettes 10 and 1 SU last 11 revenging a loss last 3 seasons.
--Winnipeg 11 and 1 ATS in last 12 non-conference games last
2 seasons.
Come to think of it, Canada probably doesn't celebrate Labor Day....
