This week the 0-2 Browns come to the 1-1 Ravens
Browns have faced TB (away) and KC @ Browns.
TB Game they lost 14-17 they put up 15 First downs in the game, 104 yards rushing and 236 yards passing. They game up 13 first downs, 119 yards rushing, 169 yards passing. They scored twice in the first half and then were shut out in the second half.
KC Game they lost 14-16. They put up 13 first downs, 73 rushing yards and 226 passing yards. They gave up 16 1st downs, 140 yards rushing, and 172 yards passing.Again scoring all their points in the 1st half of the game.
Baltimore has played in NY and then at Cincy.(2 road games)
their O has not looked sharp at all.
NY game they did have 20 first downs, 49 yards rushing, and 233 yards passing. they only allowed 6 first downs, 116 rushing yards and 60 yards passing.
Bengals game they got 14 first downs, 109 yards rushing and 150 yards passing (Flacco was terrible) they gave up 14 first downs, 94 yards rushing and 159 yards in the air.
Looking over the Browns stats shows me they are giving up an average of 130 yards rushing, which means a lot of Ray Rice.
the last 2 years these teams have met:
2008:
Bal 28 Browns 10
Bal 37 Browns 27
2009:
Bal 34 Browns 3 (point spread -13.5)
Bal 16 Browns 0 (point spread -10.5)
Last year as you can see they were 2-0 ATS on the Browns.
The Ravens have played arguably two playoff contenders this year in the Jets, and Cincy (BOTH ON THE ROAD) and to me, should have won the Cincy game (Horse shit roughing the passer call)
Browns have played two teams clearly rebuilding in TB and KC and have lost both of them.
Browns seem to be OK out of the gate, but do not make halftime adjustments, and have been blanked in the second half on both their 2 previous games and giving up 13 points to the opponent in the last 2 games in the second half.
Jake Delhomme is Doubtful for this game.
I dont see Gaither making it back, but Terrance Cody should play this game and also Cary Williams (who really impressed in training camp and in preseason) will be eligible to play coming off suspension.
Baltimores defense is giving up an average of 215 yards a game, and putting up 270 yards a game.
Browns defense is giving up an average of 300 yards a game (to two shitty teams) and putting up 319 yards a game (again, shitty teams)
This is the Ravens home opener, and the fact that its against a divisional rival will amp up the players and crowd that much more.
I see them coming out, and making it all work. Flacco will bounce back and they wont let up this week so they can make a statement about their Offense. Trust me, they have been getting bashed everywhere about their offense so far. with all the expectations they had with Boldin coming in, and TJ and that running game.
To only be averaging 10 points a game, is not sitting well with Cam cameron.
I have been 2-0 on ravens game this year.I picked them to beat the Jets, then predicted a slow moving sleeping Ravens team to lose in Cincy. This game at home, Home opener, and the offense ready to prove themselves I see a blowout here and the Ravens D has too much pride to give up a late score or back door cover.
Look for Ray Rice to get back on track and have a huge day (maybe 100 total yards at the half)
The Play for the Ravens this week is:
Ravens -10.5
