If you had to start a team right now to win a championship for the 2009/2010 Season...

A couple rules/thoughts:

1) You could not pick any players from the ALLNBA 1st team because that would be too easy, so NO Lebron James, Wade, Kobe, Howard, or Nowitzki.

2) Obviously, you cannot pick all point guards or put guys in spots where they probably wont be successful like playing Pierce at PF.

3) This is your team for the whole season and playoffs, so be weary of your guys getting injured and so on...

4) Most importantly, your team does not and probably should not have all the best remaining players, you should look to fill all the needs, you might need role players, shooters, team players and so on...

A) Who would be your starting 5?

B) Who would be on your bench?  (7 players)

Starting 5   I will write in my bench players later...

C Tim Duncan  (Cant go wrong here, the guy is a winner with all his championships, he plays hard, hall of famer.......)  Im putting him at Center cause i dont trust yao staying healthy, aside from this year, he has been brutal over the last like 4 years.

PF Kevin Garnett    (This is an easy one, he should be fine for next season, im a huge celtics fan, we all know this guy has a huge heart and of course he is a defensive master which I want on my team, toughness and defense)

SF Carmelo Anthony  (Never thought i would put this guy on my team but he has really matured since being on the Olympic team, he is a strong tough guy to guard, he can shoot and he presents matchup problems.

SG Deron Williams
These guard spots were tough, was wavering back and forth. Almost put Paul Pierce to play SG or Roy.  I ended up going with Deron Williams who we all know is such a talented player, he is young, he is quick, and he can play the SG spot, and if i need him later to go over to PG he can when i give Paul a rest...

PG Chris Paul Almost a no brainer I wanted a pass first point guard, i dont need him to score because ill probably add more offensive guys coming off my bench..this guy probably should of won MVP last year, he carries the hornets day in and day out, he court vision is the best in the league.  I have Deron who can also play point guard obviously and i pretty much 100% add Billups to my bench squad...

Alright, so ill complete my bench players later on.  Those will be very tough but ill do my best to put the best team and i do mean TEAM out there. Might not be the most talented, or athletic or big name group but we will bring home a championship in 2010..  haha.

K here is my Bench in order by position, 7 players:

Went with a lot of quickness on my bench, guys that can play a couple different positions, unselfish team players, and that can shoot from the outside when my big guys, TD, or KG, Bosh, get double teamed...

C/PF Bosh: He can play Center, or i can put KG at center and get bosh to play the PF position. Im a huge toronto fan so i decided to go this way. He is pretty quick for a big man and can play PF too.

PF/SF Lewis: Rashard is a mad outside shooter, very tough cover cause he stretches the floor, presents matchup problems, he was my last addition to this team, for my big position players- it was between him, yao, gasol, but decided to go with Lewis cause i didnt want injury prone Yao, or a player like Gasol who does not command double teams and plays a bit too soft for my liking, plus he is a Laker, and i did not want any lakers lol.

SF Battier: Defense if very important in putting together a championship team. This guy brings that intensity, and leadership. He is totally unselfish aswell, great team player and its not all about talent..if we need a big defensive stop on the opposing teams wing or guard players, he is our guy. He has a pretty good 3 point shot too so he wont hamper us too bad on the offensive end. I got enough offensive weapons too to fill his lack of.

SF Pierce: . Pierce is tough, he is a clutch as well.. MVP of the finals in 2008.. 2nd team all nba this year too. Im a celtic fan so im a bit biased.

SF/SG Granger: Not a lot of people know who he is cause he plays in Indiana but he can reallly play. Most improved player 2009, he can score aplenty but he shoots a high FG % at almost 45% (damn good considering he loves to shoot the 3) and shoots 3s at 40%. Great FT shooter too at 88%...

SG Roy: Team player, can take big shots, , he is athletic, he has size at the SG spot and does have range..

PG Billups: Speaking of clutch, mr bigshot himself. The way he played in 2009, totally shifting a losingmentality/underachieving club (5 1st round exits in a row i believe) like the nuggets to where they are now is amazing. he is a winner, plain and simple.

Tough Cuts: Yao, i wanted to put him on here but for my team i decided to leave him off, he is too injury prone and he is too slow and i really wanted to have more speed.. Gasol, NO LAKERS lol. Nash, Parker, Artest...
