I have been this confident about a game one other time in my life, and it was actually earlier this year and it cashed in.  I bet everything I had on the game, and my wife would have left me if I would have lost everything...she never knew how much I bet, but thats fine...

Well here I am again...I have crossed the numbers for hours and hours, and I am finally ready to say...I am going all in again!!!!

If you have followed me ever, you know I am really strict in terms of what I play, how much I play, and I have a good money management system, but throw that all out the window one more time this year...It's time for me to put it all out on the line again

My wife will leave me if I lose this bet tonight, but there is no need to worry.......I have felt this confident before and it cashed, and now its time to play again...

Mr.H - great to see you around again.  I've missed your insights into MLB - been completely a zero sum game for me lately after a good start.  I've taken a week off and may take another as MLB is becoming more difficult to cap as the season progresses - and this the exact opposite of what should happen - I know.

On to tonight.  I remember your last all in for NCAA hoops and it hit just as you predicted - but I layed off.  I'm with you tonight buddy.  Denver is the better team - hands down. Good luck tonight

How often do we see this on covers?

OK let me tell you how this sequence will play out.

 

1) A guy let's us know about some stupid ultimatum (i.e. wife will leave him if he loses).

2) other members wish him GL and others rightfully bash.

3) The game is over and the play loses.

4)Everyone comes back to this thread to continue the bashing (and rightfully so) and new members come across the thread and throw in their 2 cents and bash (and rightfully so)

5) while the members who wished him luck come in to his defense and say "all he did is post a play and it lost..he does not deserve this criticism" or "you guys act like you never lost a play"

6) so the thread carries on into the next day or too....

7) everything is forgotten, member is still with his wife....and we await the next ultimatum.

My model is projecting LAL by 5.

Dude you read too much about the line. It drop because Lakers did not cover game 1 spread so they have to adjust the line accordingly.
And yet even they adjusted it to Den +5.5 ,and still got more interest on Den not what you think that more bet is on Lakers.

What I see on cover is that people who were on Lakers in game 1 already jumped off the Lakers bandwagon and hoping on Den bandwagon now

Your post is so conflict that you said your wife would leave you if u lose this bet. But then you said that she does not know about your bet....WTF

The Nuggets had their chance to "steal" game 1 same as the Rockets did.

 

Carmelo was unreal and I don't see that happening again. You have a better chance betting on Kobe at home. It's a much more consistent and proven occurence.

MrH - one respectful betting question.  Why did you lock it in so early?  If you think that Vegas moved to -5.5 (actually opened at -6) to sucker the LA money in - don't you think that it is possible to pick up another .5 before tip off?  Or do you think Vegas will hold tight no matter how much $ might come in on LA towards the witching-hour?  Nice write up.
