Cappie Pondexter and Candice Dupree were the most influential player switching teams a year ago.
Who is it this year? Katie Smith (15.2 PPG, to Seattle)? Tangela Smith (11.5 PPG, to Indiana)? Marie Ferdinand-Harris (10.2 PPG, to Phoenix)? Nakia Sanford (6.6 PPG, to Phoenix)?
Phoenix retained their starting four (Dupree-Taurasi-Taylor-Johnson) who have on average 6.5 years of WNBA experience each. They added Sanford at center, who is a veteran player herself (8 years). Plus Marie Ferdinand-Harris (9 years). Plus Kara Braxton (6 years) who obviously was added before the offseason and even played in the WC finals vs Seattle, but now she's had a proper training camp with the team.
To me, this team looks loaded and worth a shot at +900 to win it all. Obviously, Seattle looks attractive as well at +300... but price differential of 3/1 makes me like Taurasi & Co. better every time I think about it.
