Russell Branyan and Jose Lopez are out of the Mariners' lineup for a second straight game Tuesday due to back discomfort.
"We thought we'd have tehm both back in there today, but they were both a little bit stiff," Seattle manager Don Wakamatsu said. "I'd like to think they are going to be in there [Wednesday]. Bottom line, I think it's better off resting them and letting them get in there tomorrow."
