I hope Tim tebow really shows them now that Denver has taken a chance on him! I know all you experts think he will fail, but he is a winner and first class all the way... I bet you won't even see him hold out for a huge contract with the other idiots. Go Tim!

other winners in college who were HUGELY successful in the NFL:

Ken Dorsey 38-2 in college

Matt Leinart 37-2 in college

David Green 42 wins in college, more than Peyton

What do all of these have in common, including Tebow? All played at major programs. Being a winner in college is OVERRATED, especially when you're playing at a big time program.

Good luck Tebow.

one of the requirements parcells as for drafting a QB is he must have won 30 games in Div-1a for him to even look at him...just thought I would add that...

Why are the others idiots?  They don't say God in every other sentence?  Sheesh, my bet is Jimmy and Colt will be in the league longer that the 2 first rounders.  Bradford never had to read a defense and Tebow is a gimmick QB.

It is "overated", but what do you want? You dont play for these teams and not have talent. No, it doesnt always tranfer to the next level, but name me one other job that only has 30 positions....IN THE WORLD.....You have to be pretty fucking good to get one of these jobs...its not like they are easy and are being handed out at walmart

Thank you Gold... somebody on my side anyway. Even if he never wins an NFL game he has a huge success story, but I predict he will fare a lot better than some of those other big names, or so-called big names only time will tell... the other thing he has going for him is versatility! He is allusive... nice looking aviator by the way gold!

Yesterday, Brian Blessing had a covers' expert, maybe Merrill, I'm not sure?  Anyway he said that a coach who worked with both Bo Jackson called TT the greatest athlete he'd seen since BO JACKSON.  It sounded like the guy coached both guys, in drawing the comparison, but it could have been just base on observation.

I thought that was a pretty interesting statement, because BO WAS AMAZING!!

Hoping they create several packages for Tebow ....

or just let him learn fron the Side lines

Too Many QB's are thrown to the Fire in the NFL Today ....

Problem with your statement is that everybody thought those guys could succeed. Nobodies giving Tebow a chance

Why would he hold out for a huge contract when he was drafted way before he should've been?  He hit the lottery with getting first round money, he should sign before they have a chance to change their minds.

- In terms of whether or not he should hold out, that decision will largely rest w/ his agent.  Guys, maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't matter that he "was lucky to go in the first round."  Why do you think he was so psyched to go in the first round?  MONEY!  He's going to seek a contract worthy of a first round pick (or his agent will), not a contract worthy of a mistaken first rounder!  Don't take this the wrong way, but I'd hate to have some of you as my agent!  LOL - only kidding.  He'll hold out, just like most other athletes, if they don't offer him the right contract (ie. one loaded w/ incentives).

TT won't be rushed in because they're are two capable people in front of him (assuming David Carr works out, and I think he will).  Hell, w/ Carr being a former 1st rounder himself (I think?), we should have an excellent trio until TT needs to start in say, two years (assuming Orton continues to play "smart" ball).  At that point, we trade someone I guess?

As for whether or not he's a "great guy," well he comes across very personable, that's for sure.  But speculating on his personality is basically a waste of time.  I would caution people who believe he's a "great guy" simply because he wears his religious beliefs like a badge of honor.  Usually, those guys have the biggest skeletons living in their closet.  Remember, our heroes are only human (unless you watch the TV show).  Don't be alarmed when you suddenly see their faults!

- Since I'm a big time Bronco fan, I sure hope he's the next great athlete.  I'm just bummed that his values are so conservative.  But then so was John Elway.  Hell, most of these guys are way right-wing.  Whatcha gonna do about it, you know?  As a norm, professional sports teams are bastions of conservative values.

Thanks

If Favre and McNabb can be successful, Tebow will definitely.

Decision to hold out rests with the agent???  Ridiculous.  Agent is just a hired gun.
