Newly acquired Hideki Matsui isn't expected to make his debut in the designated hitter role for at least three or four days, Scioscia said.

Twins @ BOX:

Twins Scheduled Pitchers:  Blackburn, Slowley

Twins Lineup:  On Tuesday, manager Ron Gardenhire announced his starting lineup for the opener on Thursday vs. Boston. Denard Span will lead things off playing center field, followed by Alexi Casilla at second, Jason Kubel at DH and Michael Cuddyer in right field. Jacque Jones will bat fifth and play left with Brendan Harris at third, Brock Peterson at first, Drew Butera catching and Matt Tolbert at shortstop.

Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau won't make their spring debuts until the following day, when the Twins host their spring home opener at Hammond Stadium at 12:05 p.m.

With a night game on Thursday against the Red Sox followed by a day game on Friday at home, Gardenhire said that he wanted to balance his lineups so no players would have to make the quick turnaround.

Interesting to see how the Pirates expect to use 10 pitchers. Especially with the fact that the Phillies may not bat in the 9th.

Good work regardless.

Well I don't mean regardless because that makes it sound like it's your fault. You know what I mean.

I saw the LVSC odds and a lot of teams are looking like they will open with high juice, which means my plays will be narrowed down.  I'll post plays after I see what lines are gonna be offered.
Philly215 says:
03/03/10 08:47PM
Yeah I know thats a lot of pitchers bucs are travelling with, there were 18 pitchers used today in the bucs yanks game, and not 1 walk, pretty impressive.
