Funny world huh? The silly Kings did everything they could to trade this guy at the trade deadline. And the silly everyone else in the league that offered them nothing reasonable for him.
That's how close the Kings were to not even making the playoffs. They would not have made the big late run without him leading them down the stretch, and they would have been clowned out of these playoffs without him.
The guy is the new ultimate warrior as far as I'm concerned. Built for the playoffs through and through. An ultimate leader who can do it all. And more importantly does do it all.
And the only reason he is even still a King is because everyone else in the league offered crap back when the Kings were trying to off load him, because they thought Mike Richards could be their new leader.
What a massive mistake that would have been. Richards is a very talented hockey player but he is no leader imo. If your Captain is too selfish to even stay sober for a few weeks for the good of the team, that is no fucking leader. That is a selfish spoiled little prick with attitude. He is great in the role he is in now with the Kings though.
With just one phone call, the whole hockey world would have been looking so much different right now. If the Kings win the Cup and Brown does noy get the Conn Smythe then there should be criminal charges laid on someone. Man do I wish that guy was on my team.
As Dustin Brown goes, so go the Kings.
