This one reminds me when Uconn came to Seton hall this year. All i remember is seton hall winning the whole game by 10-15 while getting 3.5. Needless to say Uconn krept back into the game while the Pirates went scorless for around 10 MINs.. Uconn goes up by 4 with 2.3 seconds and the Ball. Some how My PIRATES Got the inbound and scored. TO COVER.....
Ill take the Pirates...... i am not scared... Remember this is the BIG East and everyone is capable of beating anyone...
Good luck to what ever u Choose....
Just dont make Vegas rich tonight... Its hard enough....
One thing that scares me is the % of people on St. John's. Covers.com shows the consensus at 78% right now, and the last time I bet on a game near/over 80% was when I took Kansas away @ Kansas St. And everyone knows what happened there.
BUT, there IS A DIFFERENCE from THAT game compared to how the lines are moving in THIS game.
When everybody and there mothers were on Kansas (approx. 82% Covers Consensus), there was ONE sports book in particular that was "acting weirdly".
While all the other sports books were balancing their $ action by moving the line from the opening -4 (for Kansas) up to somewhere around -6/-6.5, PINNACLE was sitting at Kansas -3.5 (+142) until they balanced their books at around 9am in the morning of the day the game was to be played.
PINNACLE is a good "barometer" of what the "sharps" are doing because it seems like they have a few people of importance with deep pockets playing their books.
That -3.5 for Kansas was THE BEST LINE on Kansas since they opened the game line up the night before the game. ALL OTHER BOOKS had to move the line up to -6/-6.5 while PINNACLE'S line got EVEN BETTER at +142 on -3.5 Kansas. (They were PAYING people to TAKE THE BEST LINE ON THE BOARDS that 82% of bettors WANTED IN THE 1ST PLACE!)
RED FLAG! (Proceed with caution!)
AFTER they balanced the $, they THEN moved the line up to -6 throughout the rest of the day.
THIS GAME IS NOT SHOWING THAT. Actually it's showing a little of the opposite reaction. Pinnacle started at St. John's -2.5 and then dropped it to -2 where they then had to give Seton Hall +2 (+119) to balance all the action that they got on St. John's -2.
At 9:16 am this morning they balanced it and jumped the line straight to -3 St. John's. Granted I don't see this line going anywhere further, but it might just stay between the 2.5/3 range.
It just makes me feel better knowing this information and that they aren't doing a St. John's -2 (+142) on me. THEN I'D BE REALLY NERVOUS!
St. John's Red Storm -2 for me
Best of Luck Evry1!
I think the line is right on and it stays St. John's -2.5 to -3. Seton Hall has played some REALLY close losses to great teams. They are in a conference where EVERY team is good. They just haven't gotten enough Ws to "look" good.
Go Johnnies!
BOL
sportsinteraction had s.hall at +3.5
thats a great play for a unit. i have this game pegged at seton hall -1.5 at home.
