"Fo', Fo', Fo'."
Thirty-three consecutive wins.
"Havlicek stole the ball!"
So legendary are the teams that comprise the Top 10 Teams in NBA History, it only takes one of the above phrases to evoke a spate of memories. The Top 10 Teams were selected in 1996 by a panel of media members who regularly cover the NBA. Voters were asked to select the top 10 teams in NBA history, without ranking them, as part of the NBA at 50 celebration during the '96-97 season.
The 10 teams selected averaged 66 wins per season (for an .805 winning percentage) and all went on to win the NBA Championship. Three teams were selected from the 1960s, one from the 1970s, four from the 1980s and two from the 1990s.
The Top 10 Teams in NBA History
1964-65 Boston Celtics62 - 18(.775)Led by Bill Russell, Sam Jones, John Havlicek, Tom Sanders and Tom Heinsohn...Broke its own league record for most victories in a season and went on to win the Celtics' seventh consecutive NBA championship...Battled the Philadelphia 76ers in an East Finals for the ages, winning Game Seven 110-109; John Havlicek's deflection at game's end produced the legendary "Havlicek stole the ball!" radio call from Celtics broadcaster Johnny Most...Defeated the L.A. Lakers 4-1 in 1965 NBA Finals.

Just so I don't have to go back to several different threads and say I was wrong about Game 2, I'll just put it here. You know, I have to watch it because I do think my hatred for that overhyped crybaby LeBron James may skew my opinion a little.
Spurs are going to kick some Heat butt in Game 3

Not Joey, not the Heat following a loss, not any legitimate thread here has convinced me the Heat have what it takes to cover Game 2.
I like the Spurs to win straight up again, but in the interest of value I'll take SA +6 points. It will take more than the whiny butt LeBron to cover.

Don't be foolish with your money.

The Spurs against this undermanned Heat team? I'll be surprised if it goes five games.

Both Wade and Bosh feel like they have to redeem themselves. Therefore, they will force shots, likely bad shots. This will end up frustrating James, who will in turn force shots, bad shots. Can you just see this snowballing down the road to doom. Meanwhile, the team-oriented Pacers will methodically control the boards and share the basketball, until, in the end, the Heat just wither away and flop into oblivion.

KInd like flopping. Makes superstars look like whiny butts.

What do think?

Was Pippen better than Wade? Was Rodman better than Bosh? Did the Bulls have anybody on their bench better than Ray Allen?
The Bulls won all those titles because of Jordan. Now, can James do that? We will see.

We have a team in the Phoenix Mercury who lost their opener by 22 points and got killed most of last season favored by 10 points on the road?????? I realize Bird and Jackson are injured, but this has got to be the craziest line I've seen in quite some time.
Seattle +10 all day.

Vogel has the Pacers to Game 7 against the Heat and all everyone wants to talk about is an alleged bad decision he made in Game 1.
Poor guy has been coaching lights out and if the Pacers lose he's going to get blamed. What a crock.

Pacers just exposing the Heat

Heat/Pacers over 92.5 2H
Play or Fade...your choice, just telling you how strongly I feel on this one.

I look at the Cards roster and I don't see it, but there it is. The best record (so far) in baseball. Wow.

His game makes me want to turn off the TV and take a nap. Just jumps around aimlessly.

Seldom are the stars aligned so precisely for me to release my 102-star, Gigantic, Humungous, King Kong Crunching, Super Dooper Pooper Scooper, Play of a Lifetime, Bookie Gone Suicide, Quadruple Guaranteed Goliath Play (also known as the 102GHKKCSPPSPLBGSQGGP), an unfortunately this is not one of those.
BUT!!!! I really like the Angels tonight. The Halos are finally ready (I think) to make their move.

First and second, no outs, bottom of the eighth, and they don't sacrifice the runners. Stupid baseball.

Thank you Pacers!!! I'm thinking you'll take Game 4 and make it 3 of 4.

Guess Vegas will get crushed on this one.

I'm interested in making money. Unless you are just playing money lines, which isn't very smart, who cares who actually wins the games?
You let yourself get wrapped up in who you want to win, then you let your emotions get the in the way.

Not buying it. James is a decent player. Wade is injured. Bosh is way over rated. Allen approaching over the hill. Miami may win at home, but I think the Pacers can play right there until the end again, maybe even win straight up and take this series.
