Covers 2009 Top 5 Threads of the Year

Hey Guys,

The Mods and I will usually add some classic threads into the Archives from time to time, but it's been awhile since I added anything in there.

We saw some pretty hilarious and outrageous threads in 2009 and I wanted to open up a fun contest where we can vote on the Top 5 Covers threads of 2009. To spice things up a bit I brought in Belmont sportsbook to sponsor this contest.

Belmont has graciously offered up a $100 Free Play Account with 6x rollover to the creator of each of the Top 5 Threads!

Rizzo's Wednesday NHL Bet

Hey Puckheads,

I promised bobbydavecci awhile back that I'd swing into the NHL Forum with a pick, and I'm finally living up to that promise.

St.Louis at Dallas: Over 5.0

Very surprised to see the line of 5.0 here, both of these teams are on my watch list for Overs normally in the right matchup.

The over has hit 7/10 times when these teams have met recently, and the over is 5-0 when the line was a 5.0 so I see this being a decent play.

...that I've joined Facebook.

Yes, so very ashamed to admit that I've given in...I feel like a used whore right now.

I held out for years - admirable for someone in my line of work but unfortunately this one was out of my hands.

My co-workers have been bugging me to join forever so I made a bet a few weeks back that the Habs wouldn't make it into the NHL Playoffs.  Well they snuck into 8th place and I was forced to make an account as per my bet.

But hell, I figure I might as well embrace this now - and was hoping you guys can make it less painful for me by adding me as friends and keeping things interesting.

This may be a sign of the Apocalypse...
