Just out of curiosity, what is your reasoning for Detroit to even make the playoffs, let alone make it to the Stanley Cup final, let alone win it all?
To me, they look like a very old, very tired team that has just begun its decline from elite to mediocre status. And that started with their meltdown in the 2009 finals.

1-Jimmy Howard having a year under him will help a ton..Hudler returning will also be a big plus...The injuries that happened last year hopefully won't or their chances are up in smoke...The ice time that their 3rd and 4th liners played last year does nothing but help their experience...
For the record I bet against the Red Wings to have a bad season last year so its not like I'm picking them to win it all for the 15th straight year...The odds are a no brainer@ 9to1 for the talent they have. I see only 3 teams with a shot to win it all the Wings, Hawks, and Pens...
2-Well if you think they look old and tired you don't watch them too often...And for some reason you see all of their games then you don't know how to evaluate a hockey team
