'Cocks vs. Pussycats

Clemson Tigers at South Carolina Gamecocks (-4)

Big rivalry game!!

I would have leaned toward the home team 'Cocks, had Clemson not gotten pummeled by NC State last week in a classic trap game!   They were not ready for that game because they were looking forward to South Carolina this week, and the eventual ACC championship game.    Dabo ripped their asses for it this week and has them focused! They'll cover and likely win this one out right!

Clemson +4 in a 'cock stomping party! (large play)

Clemson ML (medium play)

** 3-1 on 1H plays Saturday, here's on for Sunday **

Saturday was good me on the 1H lines going 3-1 (although the rest of the day sucked)
Clemson -10 1st Half
Oklahoma -13.5 1st Half
Nebraska -14 1st Half
Texas -27 1st Half
(Also hit Penn State 1H, but did not post it)
OLE MISS -10 1st Half
Ole Miss is by far the better team, but just like some of the games yesterday they may not cover the entire game, especially playing at Memphis.

** SK's NCAAF Labor Day Weekend! **

Good Day Gents! Great to be back on Covers after sitting out this summer!  Record 0-0   12:00  Games Ohio State -22  Expect a huge blow out. OSU by 31   Minnesota -7 I think the Orange will be improved, but I don't think they can handle a decent Big 10 team! Minny by 12   Kentucky -15 I think UK is better than everyone is giving them credit for. They may start slow, but I think this one will be ugly in the second half. UK by 22    3-team 10-point Teaser Kentucky UNDER 58.5 Purdue UNDER 57.5 Ohio State -12     3:30 Games Georgia +5.5 Not sure that they can win, but think they keep it close. Okla St by 4.   Illinois -6.5 Loved Mizzou last year. Looking to fade them this year. Not a huge Zook fan, but think he gets them a home cover today. Illini by 10.   Nevada +14.5 Sorry, not on the Irish bandwagon just yet. I think they might win but doubt they cover. I like the Wolfpack and the points. ND by 7.     Will be away most of the day, but hope to check back in for the night games!   Hope everyone has a GREAT & PROFITABLE Labor Day Weekend!      ... [More]

SK's First Half Plays

I really like pounding the first half spreads of college basketball’s powerhouse schools when they are playing against much less talented competition.  My theory is that those schools with exceptional talent (UNC, Duke, UCLA, etc) will run out to substantial leads as early as possible in the game. They may not cover the larger full game spreads, but they routinely cover the first half spread.

Below are the games I have wagered using this “theory”. Mind you, these are only the ones on which I have wagered. There are many more out there and someone else can back test them (probably 50/50), but this is what I bet!

My favorite team North Carolina is 4-1 when I bet them.

SuicideKings Deadly Picks for this weekend

Here are my picks for the early games

12:00 Miami @ North Carolina State

The Wolfpack is peeking at the end of the season in an attempt to go to a bowl.  They thrashed tobacco road rival UNC last week for the third win in row.  Miami has been hot as well, winning 5 in a row before last week’s loss to Georgia Tech.

ATS is a little different story: NCSU is 8-2, including 7-0 ATS in last seven conference games.  The U is only 5-5 ATS this year. Against ACC conference opponents they have been even worse, 7-17-1 last 25.  I think the Pack having home field will be a huge advantage today as they attempt to get bowl eligible.

Deadly Pick – NCSU +2

12:00 South Carolina @ Clemson

Clemson has been playing better after ditching Bowden, winning 3 of the 4 games since his departure. The defense has been playing well in those games giving up an average of 10 points in the wins. The only real blemish coming in the 4th quarter of the Florida state game, allowing a couple of late TD’s that sealed their fate.

USC Defense had been giving up only 17 points per game until they ran into the Gators two weeks a... [More]

IOWA -9 is a GIFT over my school!!!

Guys - I usually am not much of a capper. I tail or fade a lot of posters but here is one game/line that I have to share - as painful as it may be!   I am a Citadel graduate (1986), and I am here to tell you that IOWA -9 is a GIFT!   I am considering putting my entire bankroll on the Hawkeyes! It's that good!  I love my guys but I gotta go against them!   If you don't know, The Citadel is a military school, and we have a very difficult time getting star recruits (in any sport). Yes, they will fight hard, and the corps of cadets will be behind them, but I think we will get severly blown out!  Our only win this year was a tune up game against Grace Bible College!  The next game we lost to Virginia Commomwealth 23!!!   The line on this game should be IOWA -29, not IOWA -9. I would love to see my DAWGS win, but I'll bet with my head, not my heart!

More info from Citadel sports website:

CHARLESTON, S.C. – Bulldog Basketball head coach Ed Conroy and assistant coach Andy Fox will feel right at home on Thursday, Nov. 20 when the Bulldogs host Iowa at 7:05 p.m. in McAlister Field House. Both Conroy and Fox are natives of Davenport, Iowa, where they both attended Assumption High School. Iowa is the first of two Big Ten teams that the Bulldogs will face this season.

The Citadel (1-1) enters the game after dropping an 82-59 decision to VCU in Richmond, Va. ... [More]
