quit making excuses on the reasons that UNC lost...duke made the shots and plays when they had to...who cares that zeller tipped it in (thats his goofy ass fault)..he had a chance to hit 2 free throws but couldnt hit but one...everone always likes to bitch about how lucky duke was and the refs kept them in it but unc was at the line too and had chances to put the game away but didnt and duke couldnt hit a free throw in the last 10 minutes...in the last 7 plus minutes in the first half duke went without a field goal...dont forget that or does a carolina fan want to make an excuse for that too

you got beat..who cares...its not the end of the world

march 3rd they'll have their chance to go to cameron and steal one there...it prob will happen but like last night you never know

iceman67...do you not realize that Roy's biggest fault over the years has been not calling timeouts in critical situations?  In 2008 against Kansas in the final four, everybody in Chapel Hill is screaming at Roy to call a timeout when Kansas goes on that huge run in the first half.  Roy refused to call a timeout until we were down 20 and the game was out of reach.  I just thought the information about Roy not calling timeouts was pretty well known.

Spot on, UNCSFINEST. When Roy was at KU, he repeatedly refused to call timeout's when the other team went on a run. It made no sense and seemed to be out of stubbornness (like LaRussa hitting the pitcher 8th all year until the playoffs). Then, he goes to UNC and gets to the title game, and KU goes up 40-12!!...before he uses a damn timeout. He must keep a jar full of unused timeouts on his mantle.

That being said, Scott drew is the worst I've seen in a long time. He is completely in over his head. He implements a zone that makes Jeff Withey look like Wilt Chamberlain.

Don't think that loss won't help UNC come tournament time. I've seen many times in the past during championship seasons this team experience agonizing defeats during the season, only to roll thru the tourney and win the close games. These types of losses build character and Roy Williams knows exactly how to channel these types of losses when it matter most in March.

Either way Train, dumb ass post. Roy Williams is PROVEN winner, and one of the most respected coaches in NCAAB history. Get your shit straight.

Tough to be a UNC fan and watch that happen in ur face...I agree Roy coulda done better down the stretch with a few T.O. to break some momentum, but the truth is he isn't playing the game. The real chockers were those players down the strectch, missing free throw to seal the game...WTF is Zeller lettting Rivers gauge a 3 after the cat was already 5-9 from 3 point land. At least get your ass out there and force him to drive or hit an off balanced 3. He spent at least 3 seconds visualizing that 3, a whole lot easier than being on the run. I'm a huge UNC fan but you still gotta play the game with or without the coach!!!
