Monday NCAA Football

Moving into Monday with a 11-4 record and up 15 units isn't so bad, but it is a long season. I have one so far for Monday.

2 units FresnoSt Rutgers Over 58.5

We have a Fresno State team coming into Piscataway, NJ ranked, according to the USA today poll, 25th in the nation . This team is loaded on offense with 10 starters returning. They have the best Tight end in the WAC and 3 backs that rushed for more than 600 yards a piece last season. This team can put up points. The down side, for Fresno State, is they only have 3 returning Defensive starters to a squad that only had 4 INT's last year which tied for last along with Marshall. Rutgers is now going into a season with out Ray Rice and is changing to a pass oriented offense. Quarterback Mike Teel has two of the best wide recieving weapons in the nation in Kenny Britt and Tiquan Underwood who combined for 2332 yards recieving last season. Rutgers D is definetly a tough one but Im banking on the high powered offense of Fresno State to score there fair share.

NCAA Sunday Football

Starting a new week of NCAA. Last week proved very profitable with a 10-4 record and +13 units. I have one play for today and one lean. The lean is on Kentucky +3. The play is on Colorado.

This game should be open wide up by half time and features a middle of the road big 12 team against a basement dweller of a Mountain West team. Colorado is way strong in the D front and Colorado State is breaking in a new QB. Colorado State will be a one dimensional team this year (running) and look for Colorado to stop that Dimension. Colorado can defiantly throw up the ball with returning sophomore QB Dan Hawkins who tossed 22 TD's in his freshman season. He did toss up 17 picks but in his final 5 games of the 07-08 season he had 9 TD's and only 3 picks. The only thing I dont like about this game, it is a RIVALRY game. None the less I like Colorado BIG.

Yes I am well aware of the line movement on this game. This game features two teams with passing offenses (that can rack up points) and two poppy defenses (that can give said points). I understand that SMU hasn't proven there scoring ability yet under June Jones, but lets not forget how Mr. Jones turned a shit Hawaii program around from 0-12 to 9-4 in one season and went BCS shortly after. That Hawaii team was not built on defense. Look for scores in bunches in this high flying game.

The Bulls defense was the number 1 ranked D in the MAC last year. Look for the Bulls to make some waves in the MAC for Bowling green and Miami (Ohio). The Bulls are 14-9 ATS under coach Gill.
