Anyone Else Hate Watching The Games They Bet On?

I never bet the super bowl cause I want to watch and enjoy it. I have not watched a game I had a big bet on in 10+ years. Why do that to yourself? The emotional roller coaster is to much for me. I learned that lesson long ago when I threw a hole in my friends wall after a backdoor cover. I like to make my bets and check that night when all is said and done. Happy or Sad one time, not 500 times back and forth.

Know the feeling exactly. Kinda like Billy Beane in Moneyball. I start to take the whole thing way too personally, instead of treating it like the investment that it is.

Thats why I try not to bet over, under it is way to scary to watch!

I'm the opposite lol. I like the making things more intense for better or worse.

HATE TO WATCH WITH FAMILY THAT'S ROOTING FOR THE OTHER SIDE, ESPECIALLY WHEN THEIR TEAM WINS AND THEY DON'T EVEN BET!!!!!

Not worth the grey hairs, rather not bet the TV games anyway.

It depends on the game for me. Football no big deal , Basketball i have to get an update on phone or espn before i go too bed, or i will be a zombie the next day.

also what PTOTOUR said , hate that...

Watching games make you lose a few years of your life.

The more years I've wagered the less I like to watch the games. Then again I usually end up following on my phone instead which is even more annoying because you really can't tell wtf is going on. Sometimes I'll just open my gambling account to see if I won, not even check scores. I'm finding it harder and harder to watch the games. Too much anger/intensity over things you have no control over.

The only sport I can watch that I've bet is hockey and football. I have to follow basketball bets on a ticker lol...

I HATE TO WATCH BUT SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO AND SEE WHO SCREWED UP N WHY 4 FUTURE BETS.

I just can't do it any more. I'm a small-timer, for sure, but it just stresses me out to watch a game I've got money on. I go out of my way to avoid seeing the score. Just a personal quirk...I meticulously avoid checking the score until I'm sure the game's over.

Absolutly unreal thread, I thought that is why people laid the money down to get thier fix watching an intense battle.with the chance of profit. I thought I was strange because as soon as the game started turning against my side even minutes into the game I couldnt bear to watch it. Thanks for sharing.. By the way how is vanderbilt doing. cant bear to watch.

The opposite....actually can't watch a game unless I got some action and LOVE it when I do, win or lose. I bet for fun not for the mortgage so it does not stress me out either way. Price of admission and it might get refunded back and some!

I am completely opposite. I like betting on games I usually have no interest in to make them interesting and I shy away from betting my favorite teams because I am so biased I refuse to bet against them even when there is value there.

Hate it....no reason to. All about money unless your up a nice chunk and you want to splash a tad for fun. Or....if you are a Wings/Lions/ Non-Pistons fan :-)

I would BET that if a survey was taken, more would say they watch the games they bet on...personally the roller coaster is part of the enjoyment and rush of gambling!! Sure there are times where I make bets and check in the morning of only once or twice.

But the majority of times I bet and the game is on TV or I can catch it live, well I'm making bets!

Also, it's prob the most bet on game in the world and I would put my bankroll on the fact that over 70% of people watching the game bet on it in one way or the other... whether it be a beer or every possible prop bet from start to finish! (which is what me and my friends do every year, while getting pretty fucked up!) !!!

LoL

Cheers

Difinately makes it harder to watch!!! Your critical of every play and when your team wins, but doesnt cover and runs out the clock on the 10 yardline, thats tough, but you gotta watch its on TV and thats the games people wanna bet!!
TriZMiK says:

I'm complete opposite. I can barely watch games I didn't bet on.

I agree, I've been betting 10 years, the first 3 years not most but all have lost. I've not watch 7 years. And even not watching the game and I'm trying to do somethings I can't finish, then I know I made a bad bet. Don't know what to called it. That bad feeling. Lately it's been all good feeling. Some might not agree, but what work for you, do it!!!
