I won my Week 8 matchup 99.00 to 82.38. I am now 4-4. I have gotten a lot of help from different contributors, and will need some more this week facing what I feel will be my most difficult matchup to date.
Offensive Standouts were:
QB Peyton Manning: 24.60
Defense NY Jets: 15.10
WR Percy Harvin: 14.90
Offensive Disappointments were:
WR Lance Moore (I inserted him at the last moment over Steve Smith. Turned out to be a mistake, as Smith would collect 11.80 points): 2.50
TE Tony Gonzalez: 2.90
W/R Josh Gordon: 4.60
Stephen Gostkowski is on a "bye" this week, so I dropped the Jets, and picked up Sebastian Janikowski. I'm not convinced that the Cincinnati Bengals are the best defensive unit, as they face Denver this weekend, so I dropped WR Robert Meachem and picked up the Houston Texans, who face the Buffalo Bills.
Here is this week's starting lineup, and my current bench:
QB: Peyton Manning
RB: Chris Johnson
RB: Darren McFadden
WR: Steve Smith
WR: Percy Harvin
TE: Tony Gonzalez
W/R: Hakeem Nicks
Kicker: Sebastian Janikowski
Defense: Houston Texans
BenchRB: Ben Tate
WR: Lance Moore
QB: Robert Griffin III
WR: Josh Gordon
Defense: Cincinnati Bengals
Kicker: Stephen Gostkowski (BYE)
My opponents lineup this week:
QB: Ben Roethlisberger
RB: Reggie Bush
RB: Alfred Morris
WR: Mike Wallace
WR: Vincent Jackson
TE: Martellus Bennett
W/R: Ahmad Bradshaw
Kicker: Blair Walsh
Defense: Miami Dolphins
This is a tough matchup. The Fantasy Points Projector has my opponent ahead of me by about 10-points (I know this means very little though). So the big questions are:
Should I start RG3 over Manning? Griffin is facing Carolina, while Manning faces the Bengals.
Should I start Lance Moore over Percy Harvin; Harvin will be in Seattle to face the 'Hawks stingy secondary, while Moore will be at home vs. the Eagles.
Thanks for your continued help and input!
