The 1990's team looked amazing, Larry Johnson, Greg Anthony etc. winning by an average 28pts a game. I was only 5 years old at that time but i now wonder how they were Against the spread.

I also wonder how the Chicago Bulls were ATS during the Jordan era. Where these teams just dominate for bettors or did they have crazy spreads. Anyone on this forum old enough to have bet those games in the 90's?

At the time, sportsbooks weren't allowed to post lines on games involving Nevada-based teams so nobody will ever know how good those UNLV clubs would have been ATS. The ban was overturned in 2001. Sure was a fun team to watch, though ... I thought the HBO special was interesing as well.

Anderson Hunt

Stacey Augmon

My favorite team of all time and it's not close.

Completely agree.

The run they made at the end of their National Title season was the most exciting stretch of hoops I've ever watched. They literally were invincible at one point. It was tough watching LMU go down with Bo Kimble, Jeff Friar and company but if there was any silver lining to that it was you knew (as a fan) you were witnessing greatness.

Anthony, Hunt, Augmon, Johnson, Butler, Scurry

I was in college in the early 90's, and one year, i think it was 1992-93, the year they won 70 games, me and a buddy bet the bulls every game regardless of the spread.  Overall, if I remember correctly, we made a killing.  Early on it was win after win, then it started to even out a little bit when the spreads would be 20pts+.

The Rebels laid big wood in almost every game, loved them and Tark....

The Bulls laid big #'s too but nothing like the Rebels....pro lines even then hardly ever gort near 20 points even for them...

The ? me and my buddies always had was did they ( the Bull's and Rebel's) have themselves or not..some crazy endings to their games when the spread played a part.......

Shrimp i agree 100%. I always wondered what it was like to bet games in the 90's. I could only imagine what it would be like in the covers forum with people bashing Jordan and stuff like that

It was 91-92, and they won 67 games that year.

I just watched that last night as well.  I was 21 when they won it all in 1990.  When they lost to Duke the following year I cried.

I grew up watching UNLV on channel 9 in So Cal.  Chick Hearn was the announcer.  Why they played their games on 9 in So Cal i do not know.

They were my favorite team from the mid 70s on, but there was NOTHING like the 89-90 and 90-91 teams.  I honestly think they were the best team ever!

Miss those guys = Sidney Green, Grant G, Ricky Sobers, Reggie Theus, Danny Tarkanian, Armon Gilliam, Jarvis Basnight, Mark Wade, Anderson Hunt, Stacey Augmon, David Butler, Moses Scurry, Greg Anthony, Larry Johnson and many, many more

The 1990 championship game over Duke by 30 might never be topped!!

FOR SURE...TARK SAID THERE was something wrong the day of the Championship game...he knew something was wrong...these guys...at least some of them had to have something going on....Neutral court..fine...it should have been UNLV by about 8-10...for sure win...but they outright lost and looked like a different team...

DID anyone watch St.Mary's last night.??? any clue how a player of the year doesnt play at all and then tries to be himself at the end...this kid was 1 for 4 from the FT line..a 91% shooter..McConnell for sure there was something going on...turnovers left and right mysteriously going on...time ticking off and just some funky things..
