www.dailyfaceoff.com reports huet (whose numbers are pretty gd good for all the flack he takes) ... fleury still puts up clunker games here and there ... i have to disagree with ya flutie .... this game is won up front by the hawks ...

according to http://community.post-gazette.com/blogs/emptynetters/default.aspx, "Kris Letang is probable. Bylsma said they are operating under the assumption he will play. The specific nature of Letang's ailment was not disclosed. Additionally, Bylsma mentioned the team will make a decision regarding a roster move this afternoon." so it looks like LeTang isn't 100% and Alex Goligoski (groin) is STILL out.

Seth Rorabaugh's blog also says "Marc-Andre Fleury is expected to start in net for the Penguins. The Blachkawks have not announced if Cristobal Huet or Antti Niemi will start" although both LeftWingLock and DailyFaceoff are saying Nieni is "probable" (but unconfirmed).

you can't compare Ovechkin to Crosby you just plain can't.. 2 different players completely.. Crosby does more for his team.. IMO

actually they have flipped to Antti Niemi because of chicago writer Chris Kuc's "Quenneville wouldn't commit to who would start in goal for the Hawks, but from what he did offer on the subject it likely will be Antti Niemi" comments.

Bhawk goalie looks to be still up in the air.

thanks for the update rat ... not sure what kind of game JQ is playing ... might not be deciding until the warmup to get em both sharp ... he is known to dabble in that ... to be honest though i think it could be jimmy waite tonight and the hawks win ... got a real strong strong feeling here ... we will see if it's the right one ...

unreal stuff - coach q plays the hunch and wins with niemi - who looked pretty friggin good ... i thought the speed of the hawks forwards did in fact wear pitt down again too ... a well deserved hawks win

niemi played real well weebs ... i saw the whole thing.
his GAA is under 2 - gotta be something to this kid ... he played well enough to get the next start - fo sho
