To hedge or not to hedge?

Beginning of the season I dropped a pretty nice sized wager (for me at least) on Bama to win it all at 4-1. I have to say I am fortunate to even have a shot after Bama lost at home to LSU, although I still believe these are the two best teams in the country and Bama is deserving of a shot to play for the NC. I think Bama could have and should have won the first game, but I think it would be a bit foolish not to hedge this out, at least part of the way. These teams are very evenly matched. One of those instances where you have to be a business man and not a gambler in my opinion. Any thoughts on this?

Ballsy suggestion...don't necessarily disagree but free money sounds pretty good to me at this point.

to me it depends on how much you have on it and how you have done this year. Personally, i wouldn't fault you either way. Good luck this bowl season

Wait until LSU is plus points, then bet on them, that way you can win both if Bama wins by a point.

That's a very good point. Or split the hedge into spread/moneyline to fatten up the payout if LSU wins the game. Thanks for your input.

Hedge and guarantee yourself some profit for the risk you took.  As you said, you're lucky to even be in this position after they defied the odds and got a rematch.
