Will Drew Brees pass for 5000 yards AGAIN???

To me this is a no brainer, I know this is a pass happy team but surely he must have some drop off from last year. However the main factor I see in this bet is the fact that he can quite easily get injured and miss games. it would only take one game for him to mean it's practically impossible for him to do it!!

He had just as much garbage time as any other QB in the league.  The Saints won 8 of their games and lost 5 by a total of 17 points, meaning they were well in a majority of their games.

Doesn't sound like a majority of those 5000 yards were garbage time.

I watched every minute of every Saints game last season.  Your analysis couldn't be further from the truth.  As a matter of fact, he let off the Lions in the 4th Quarter in Week 16.  He could have tacked on another 80+ to his total and beat Marino if he wanted.  He didn't.

17 INTs for a team that throws the most in the league is not a lot of picks.  Use # of INTs as a percentage of passes thrown and then we'll see an accurate number.

Here are their loss margins:

5, 2, 3, 23, 14, 3, 3, 2.

Out of 16 games, they were only out of TWO OF THEM.  How many teams that season could say that?  Even teams that finished above .500?  Not many at all.

And yes, Saints will be much more well-rounded this season with a stronger defense, so Brees most likely will not finished above 5000 passing yards.

Ah hell, I figured.

I didn't expect any book this side of the Atlantic to offer such a prop.  It is a lock-fire guarantee it is Under 5000 yards.  I would have hammered that 5/7 for the maximum bet with SJ.  Those guys really are going to get pounded.....
