Bracketology Complaint

I will first start off by saying I am a homer.  Yes I am.

But can someone explain to me why Georgia Tech who finished 7-9 in conference is a lock for the NCAAs and Virginia Tech who was 10-6 AND won on Georgia Tech's home court to end the season is on the bubble?  Huh?

I get it VT's out of conference schedule sucked, thanks Mr. AD for royally screwing us there . . . but they won AT Georgia Tech and they finished THREE games up on them.  Not 1 or 2 but three.  It also could be argued that our out of conference win (Seton Hall neutral court) is much better than anything they have to show (Charlotte I guess . . . Siena blows).

I personally believe as well that if you can't finish above .500 in conference you have no right to make the tournament.

VT might not deserve to make it . . . but then neither should Georgia Tech in my opinion.  Congrats on beating two bad teams (UNC and NC State) and getting Maryland on a down day.

That being said if GT upsets Duke today the point is mute.

Have same complaint about Miss St. being in over Florida.  Who has Miss St. beaten up until yesterday?  While Florida has Tenn, FSU and Mich St.  I just don't get it.

Kenpom has strength of schedules. Even though they play in the same conference, GT had the 2nd toughest conference schedule in the country while VT had the 73rd toughest conference schedule. That emphasizes the point about VT having the simplest ACC schedule. One game (VT's win over GT) does not decide two teams' fates. GT is in the ACC Finals. VT didn't make it out of the quarterfinals.

Like I said, it's a no brainer than GT is a much higher priority than VT.

Well I persoally believe that U.S. Americans such as the Hokies like suchas, therefore, should not make the NCC Tourney.

Florida is already the 1st team in NCAA history to miss the tournament for 2 strait years after winning the national championship. This will be year 3 strait years. They are not a particularly good team but they are better than Missi State.

So many inconsistent teams in NCAABB including the aforementioned V Tech and G Tech. They talk of expanding this tournament field; they should seriously consider shrinking it.

When you say, "the point is MUTE"....are you implying you will never speak of this point again??  Or do you mean the point will not be relevant anymore, as in MOOT?  just curious...

For the record, I don't think your point will be moot, because duke wins in a rout today.

ACC and Big East bias tends to get too many in the tourney regardless .........
