What gives?

Buchholz had been on a roll until his last two starts, when he was rocked for 13 hits and 13 runs over 11 innings. The right-hander turned in a strong September, going 4-1 with a 2.87 ERA in six starts. After spending the first half at Triple-A, Buchholz joined the Red Sox after the All-Star break and took a regular turn in the rotation for the rest of the season. He didn't face the Angels this season but is 1-2 with a 6.35 ERA against them. Buchholz's one win against the Angels came in his first Major League start in Aug., 2007. This season, the right-hander held opponents to a .256 average.

Kazmir has made more career starts against the Red Sox than any other club. He is 8-7 with a 3.59 ERA in 23 regular season starts against them. He also faced them twice in the American League Championship series while with the Rays last year. He allowed five runs in 4 1/3 innings in Game 2 but the Rays went on to a 9-8 victory. In Game 5 he pitched 6 2/3 scoreless innings but the Red Sox came back for an 8-7 victory. Overall he was 1-1 with a 4.21 ERA in five postseason starts.

I will take the Angels for a sweep

Really not because to the Angels it is 9am. This is a very valued point. Happens with football all the time. I do believe they will be sluggish. If they win because of it or not who knows but I believe the under is the better play because of bad body clock.

I hesitated briefly on betting the Angels in Game 3 due to the early start time, but screw that.  This series is a mismatch.  Angels again, and alternate runline, too.

Angels need to have extra innings pitched from their rotation before they come to the Bronx.

So...whose winning? The Yankees or Angels?

tsw just for you about body clocks.

Most of us don't notice our internal clocks until they're out of whack

with the time of day, usually because of jetlag or a change in sleep

patterns. Like a clock that needs to be set daily, the brain's

circadian clock requires a cycle of sunlight and darkness to

orchestrate the body's functions. (The term "circadian" comes from the

Latin circa, "around," and diem or dies, meaning "day.") Almost every

function of the body oscillates during the day according to this clock,

affecting the timing of major events. But even those

who are on more typical schedules can be affected by circadian rhythms.

Here are more body clock believe-it-or-not facts from psychologist

Roberto Refinetti, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Circadian Rhythms, and Steven Brown, of the University of Zurich.
