Popovich is above it all ???

For Coach Popovich

You don't put a representative product on the court - and you don't care. I don't care about season ticket holders necessarily seeing you at your best but I gamble and you have in effect 'laid down' in games to opposition that you deem unimportant. The crime here is you don't have the courage to make this an open announcement before hand.Too much heat perhaps? Believe me your insiders ,staff members leak this info to big gamblers and they score on what you covertly undisclose. How different is that from fixing a game? Spare me the Marine cover. No one else does this.
You are disingenuous as a result and think you are above others.

This will come raining back on your head Sir !

Full Tilt Poker and all Off shore books

Now with the US Govt labeling Full Tilt poker a $390 million dollar "Ponzi Scheme" What assurances do players have from any book ?
Dear Covers, Please contact your recommended books - individually  and have them each  provide a "Statement of Assurance" to all their players via your website. Let's address this important issue and get it out in the open for discussion.
Because it's certainly on all players mind.
If any books refuse -Then that is a statement in itself.

The Fat Man Sings

The Insatiable Charlie Weis like Kelly of Cincinnati before him has abandoned the Chiefs for the cradle of his comfort Florida.
The impact and fallout are felt immediately by his KC offense in their loss to Oakland.Teams have fragile psyche's and offense is timing - his announced departure is bad timing.Shame on you Mr Smelly pants and the complicit media who proclaim what a"good fit'you are at Florida. Though no one says so- this is 'breach of contract'and damages can be substantiated.
Haven't we had our fill of "Lame Duck" coaches and Congress. Crimes without impunity
Enjoy the donuts at the Press Conference Monday at Florida Fatso !
If I were The Chiefs GM I'd fire you traitorship now.

NFL/Referee Bias ?

A little too quick to signal Touchdown! for both Farve and Rothlisberger.
What are the ref's thinking or for that matter seeing ? Predisposed towards them both perhaps.
Why did Ben get his suspension reduced again?

If the TD play is called and reversed and the refs lose sight of who recovered the ball than
Pittsburgh cannot(in fairness)be rewarded for the referee's mistake.A coin flip (50/50 chance) would
be preferable liveable and would quiet all the ensuing discussion.
At first blush,a bit elementary, but a much fairrer application to a referee's gaffe which 'in effect' gave Pittsburgh the win.

Wonder what the Sporano's would say to that today ?

Baseball deserves no fans

Dear Commisioner Selig:
Like a curator of a museum, you look back in time and nod your dotting head. You are myopic and obstinate and defiant to the resources available to you to "get the call right" No challenge flags for you Last's nights farce of a 1-0 outcome on the heels of various previous bad calls by your overweight,no-tech,immobile umpires is a testimony to your backwardness.Your pretext of 'tradition' is a justification to rule over a "lie" Posey was out-conclusively.You are OK with that, apparently the 7 year starved Giant's fans are your justification.Record Strikouts yet no legitimate run was scored. If you don't care and your millionaire players don't care and there is no vehicle to"speak out" I'm certainly not going to care - furthermore no baseball for me ever again
P.S I know you can change as you raise prices indiscriminately- how hypocritical.

NFL Referee Fix Theory

NFL Referee Fix Theory.

Find a team that has a history of penalties and then pile more on them(The public will by that)

ie. Packers-record # of penalties on Mon nite (80% of the money was on Green Bay)

Cowboys Week #1 vs Skins)Jets vs Ravens Week #1

The refs primarily focus on one side which is superior but gets broken with the burden of penalties which ultimately cannot be overcome.

The foul outcome of the 2010 NBA Finals

Despite the jubilation of the car tossing/burning illegal immigrants fans and the Hollywood Celebrities at court side the Truth is not allowed in the NBA.Even the truth Paul Pierce will be fined if he tells it to the media. No referee interviews before and after games and no attempt of any explanation or semblance of accountability. Referees don't rebound- announcers can refer to that over and over and you will believe that is the reason for victory or defeat. They appeared to 'let them play'- for about five minutes straight, but soon did what they are paid to do - call fouls and affect outcomes Hint; When you see Joey Crawford warning Doc Rivers about Kendrick Perkins who is on the bench,You know it might be a long evening for the Celtics. The Celtics had a plan .Smother Kobe and let the Fisher's and Artest's beat them from the outside.-it almost worked.Pau Gasol (politically incorrect to mention) whines and complains on every single play-that doesn't go his way..If you come near him - he goes to the line. What Paul Pierce said(in code was "We put them on the line" He said that 5 times(Post-game interview) He means the referees called more fouls on the Celtics-the entire series and 20 more in Game #7 Boston 15-17 and LA 25-37 The Celtics neutralized the rebounding differential but they couldn't overcome the free throw disparity. The Lakers won with the assisted calls and the Celtics got to within 4 points despite them... The Devil and the LA Lakers

It’s a tough loss, period," Utah guard Deron Jackson said. "Again, we were in the game, but things just keep going the other way Maybe the Mormons are naive in a 'worldly sense'but the know their basketball  and player's character. Derek Fisher evokes the chants of Fisher sucks and Runnin with the Devil may be of some indication of evil influence, perhaps The Lakers beat Orlando in game #2 on a missed layup by Courtney Lee at the buzzer. The Lakers beat OKC by a sheer point and now after Jackson complains its always a loss in Game three at Utah in the playoffs Therefore they get Joey Crawford and Dick Bavetta(who can't run the floor) to 'team up' to do NBA business. There was no mortuary convention in Salt Lake. Those two effectively neutralized Boozer just enough from contributing. The Lakers open with 17 of their first 21 games at home this year America's team David Stern's team or John Lovitz's ? How do they warrant that.? They are the League's pets - For Sure They get 'facilitated' in key situations. They are always bailed out It used to be Kobe could get free throws by swan diving into piles and yelling. Refs send him to the line It got too obvious and repetitive. This is a lazy team with the bench 'backbiting' and bickering for playing time' Odom goes into trances and Fisher is the slowest of the slow Yet they get it done referencing the wonder of the triangle which no one can seem to adequately describe. There is so... [More]

Rick Pitino - High priest of the Coaching phonies

Now that fast talking Rick got his signature win vs Georgetown he takes good care of his 'betting buddies'with a tank to Cincinnati.

I guess since he is in Louisville already he gets paid off in thoroughbred racehorses(You hear his big mouth on Derby Day)

A classic example of someone who has had their job to long.Makes Barry Switzer look legit

Reprehensible and disgraceful - Double bye my butt

Boomer Sooner- Here we Go Again

Bob Stoops last "Signature win"?????

Can't find it-Since losing to Florida, Texas and West Virginia when does Oklahoma actually"show up"Superior Talent is what Stoops contends he posesses. Therefore he just attends the alumni cocktail party and puts on his visor. No blitzes or stunts for him = No motivation and No preperation.

VA Tech gave them the blueprint - Will they use it?

Leodis McKelvin fault ?- Yes & No

God is in the details.

On the previous kick-off return Leodis put the ball on the carpet.Oklahoma special teams rookie advanced it for 12 yds + more.Bobby April,Dick Jauron are you watching ? The first game of the year,a winded defensive back demonstrates he is tired and you let it appen again by using him on the next most crucial kick-off return? Is that wise or vigilant ?

Roscoe Parrish(fresh legs)could have been used for a worn out DB.

Winners safeguard situations, pay attention and prepare for worse case scenarios, not fall victim time and time again.

Do any of the Bills coaches know how to win?Let alone teach it.

Maybe it's not Over

The Magic have located their shooting. They have an edge in rebounds.

The momentum has shifted.Considering they had a "B'"league lineup much of the game with fouls on Pietrus and Lee early, they did well at the arena where a Denver player alleged that a $50,000 payoff(bribe)was given to an NBA referee.

Orlando will win game #3 There will be no phantom foul calls on the 'flopping' Kobe and friends in the final 3 minutes of regulation. The Magic will have points from all parts of the line-up and Howard will have his biggest offensive performance.History is also kind to Game #3 scenarios.Furthemore in Game #4

the Magic will win more decidedly-fully re-acclimated to their homecourt.

David Stern, in full makeup, will attest to the competitiveness of the league and it's playoff system as he dotes and smiles in the 3rd quarter interview.

It will be 2-2 going into Game #5- Bet on it !

NBA Rules - Tecnically and Personally Fouled Up

Dwight Howard anxiously waits for the league to rescind his last technical foul. These foul rules must be expanded. The fans who pay for season tickets had to watch Howard sit on the bench most of the first half Sunday.Being highly visible can be detrimental. The NBA benefits from playoff intensity-it actually advertises it.But when it comes to making provision for this intensity it fails. The refs are all amped up not laid back Joey Crawford is all bristled on gameday. All of this is more pressure on the players. Boston and Chicago play 7 Ot's in the first six games. You expand the team fouls and not the personals. That is illogical Why keep painting players, particularly stars, into the corner? You expect them not to not foul pesronally, just team wise?Preposterous. There must be more provision for players to have the flexibility to play in Overtime. The NFL has referee accountability by it's head of referee's weekly on the NFL Network. The NBA sweeps it's overs/unders referee scandal virtually under the rug. It's rulership is despotic at times. No post game interviews with the refs and all reviews are private. The coaches are afraid to speak their mind. How can change be implemeted under this 'iron fist'? We need to add an expansive personal foul allowance in overtime games including re-instatement of fouled out players. As far as technicals go. The more games you play(advance) the more technicals you are allowed. You put the pressure on the players and ... [More]

A Magical opportunity of Pure Gold

Who could ask for anything more? A home game vs a team you dominate.

The opportunity to go up 3-1.No waiting-their time is NOW! Tonight.

The most rested big man DH (only 28 minutes in Game 3)Hedo on the zag(1FG in last)Cleveland has no history here. This is about the Magic. They are in control

No refs, no fixes,no IV's just a win-The Golden Opportunity of Crystal Clarity !

Is Carmelo's Ankle a Concern ?

The big question? Is Carmelo's ankle bothering him?
The silence is deafening and it continuues to go unaddressed. Is the media afraid to ask.Is the Emperor wearing clothes or is he naked ?
He looks naked(hurt)to me
Alligator arm shots all the second half No lift and couldn't run more than two steps. Got fouls called on him as he was behind the play on defense. If he's hurt The Nuggets are done.

Mark Cuban - A Man with a Plan

Mark Cuban Had the NBA right where he wanted them - Owing him.

Was it a make-up call that he had coming?-not exactly

Was it an apology from the league for 'blowing the intentional foul at the end of game #3?

Getting warmer

Was it a game he had coming? Bingo

He had the look of a gambler with a 'serious edge and a serious wager to boot

The nervous energy at the end of the game with his knees bouncing up and down was a little more than just saving face from a"sweep"' by Denver
He had them (NBA)right where he wanted 'em and went ALL IN!

Open letter from Rachel Alexander

"It's good to be the Queen"- even though I am more of a Princess.

Honestly folks running a little more than 12 seconds a furlong for me on a surface I kind of liked is no big deal-actually" I didn't really get your attention prior to that race just kind of something in a nothing division"

I am truly flattered that you paid so much money for me.But now you want me to be the king also? I just became Queen of my division. You think I am Winning Colors?. My sister Rags to Riches warns me that running against the boys could be career threatening. The ghosts of Ruffian and Eight Belles tell me take it easy or I'll be joining them sooner than necessary I have potential and am feeling good. Can't we just continue to go along as we are with all those big purses for us sophomores. Maybe try my elder sisters later in the year? You guys don't even know me.Steve seems nice but I am feeling a bit rushed.

I hope you know what you are doing because I'm not so certain."

End of a Franchise ??

Tonight's Game Three could be a beginning of the end not only to this series but to the entire Laker Franchise. The talented-leaderless Lakers are about to play perhaps the game from Hell.
When it's all done Rick Adelman may be standing over the ashes and his team with him.
With the reversal of the Kobe elbow to flagrant one truth has seeped out. If it keeps on seeping out franchise will be totally exposed.Does Kobe not really believe in these teammates ? The leadership of Derek Fisher ???? His career is effectively over.LukeWalton didn't see the foul- imagine. Phil Jackson who should be benching Fisher has distanced himself -once again-to the arms of the bosses daughter. Sasha(Shots gone Wild) has more than a role crisis on the court. Paul Gasoft hates physical. This is a game only those over/under expert referees could screw up. But frankly the damage has been done. There will be no more cover-ups No leaders found in Rambis or Clemmons or Shaw. Wonder why Jerry West departed ?

Electrifying Ride in the Derby - Again ?

Isn't it strange that this horse and Street Sense run the same race except this horse runs faster in the final 1/8th(visually anyway)
The constant is Calvin Borel this ride was electrifying.Id be looking for a battery on this one. That horse ran like a "rabbit"in a dog race who got stuck in the e box at the start and had to get up to lead the dogs home.
I know I'm in the minority but them cowboys and Calvin are capable of using a heater on this horse. No other jock could have won on him after that break
I guess the commentators just can't believe there own eyes as to what they are seeing

Yao Ming - Where is he in the 2nd Half?

Night after night Yao Ming disappears in the 2nd half. Is anyone questioning this?

Do the trainers assume that his exotic diet is suitable for NBA Playoff Basketball?

Time to intervene and find out why his vitality evaporates. Look at him does this look like a healthy individual to you ?

Did They get the 16 Teams they Wanted ?

If it was up to the refs or the seeding comittee's - they damn well did.

If you ever really want to know which side the refs are on the initial"tell"usually is early in the game when there is a foul away from the ball. They are scrutinizing the team they call it on and facilitating the other team.ie Taj Gibson away from the ball after sitting out How convenient for the big ten poster team MSU.

If big(oversized)mouth Tom Izzo weren't a basketball coach he would be a senator.Isn't it cute that Villanova got 'jumpstarted with two games in Philadelphia?and Michigan State with two in Big Ten hub Minnesota. I think not

Politics is alive in the madness  - the bettors are dead.

USC coach and players can't talk about the referee's .What are their actions above scrutiny?

The NBA only had one ref involved in the overs/unders scandal and Bernie Madoff did it all by himself.?

Think again
