Had another good Sunday. 3-2 but hit large on the Texans and Bengals.  Also hit Tennessee.  Which I'm a little pissed at myself because I let myself get talked down on that game.  I really liked the Titans and wanted to play it hard, but got talked out of it.  Instead made a dumb play on the Bears.  Oh well.  Seems to be a trend.  I haven't really had a bad one all season.  Just wanted to start this thread.  No plays yet.  Will update record and everything else later on.  My leans right now are as follows

Cincinnati +7
Seattle +9
New England +3

Monday
Cleveland +10.5 - Looking for a tad more here.  I think if Quinn starts(no ND bias)  Don't like Quinn now he plays for the Clowns.  Anyways I think that gives them a much better shot of being competitive at least in this game.  Would really love to be catching 13+ here.

Thursday
Bears +3

Haven't really looked much.  Just kinda took a look at a few things thats about it.  Again I'll try to put some more stuff in either tomorrow or Thursday.  I just have a lot of stuff going on this week, plus I have the new Call of Duty which I have been playing for ever it seems already.  Took a break just to post here.  Good luck this week everyone.

Think the 49ers win this game, the bears can not stop anyone right now and the offense quits on half the plays. The bengals line looks to good to be true. The colts game will prob we my play of the week. Others i like are the cowboys, titans, chiefs and over in eagles, chargers game what ya think?

I like Chicago also
Cinci another big dog catching steelers of a Big Night Game

another big game for Cinci, luckily they are getting
the steelers on a short week

But can cincy stay up emotionally

Didn't your mom ever tell you to do your homework before you play.  In plus, there is no money in video games....at least casually playing.

BOL this week Whodey....I'll definitely be on NE.

I think seattle is gonna get blown out of the water. and the cincy game is a good pick it'll be close especially in blitzburgh.

calbear good call w/ the casual playing but you'd be suprised. i and others know lots of ways to make $$$ playing games. even without playing around the clock. understand the point though :)

Hey Whodey

don't put your money on my Browns (yes, Im a Browns fan)....it's a waste....I had to watch every game and the only "competitive" one was against your Bengals...so maybe your view of us is skewed....

we are horrible and beyond pathetic....with Quinn we're even less dangerous...decreases the chances of any backdoor cover

I will play BAL -10 HUGE and recommend everyone to do so too...the spot is perfect...BAL on a losing streak catching a hobbling Dawg with a lame duck HC on national TV....we will get slaughtered....I'm 100% on my Browns plays this year and faded them with confidence HUGE against CHI and GB on DD spreads...and they easily covered....and CHI played horrible in that game

we are dead, going through the motions and waiting for the offseason to come and we have no ILB left now that Barton is on IR too along with DQ

BAL -10 and 1st H is easy money, trust me...we don't have the receivers to exploit their weak CBs and have the most uncreative coaches I've ever seen calling plays

Vegas and outsiders still don't get what a mess this 09 version is...they still think we are the same old dawgs that are capable of biting at home every now and then (see MNG last year against Gmen)...far from that, we're even worse than the expension version of 99

BAL -10 is the play

Anyway, GL on your other plays

Thanks man...I don't think that Cincy staying up emotionally is the problem.  They just need to go with what works.  Losing Henry is going to hurt us though, it really is.  He can stretch the field, run Palomalu deep on some plays opening up the middle more.  That's gonna hurt...Drops AKA Laverneaus Coles and Caldwell need to step up Sunday.  Drops actually played good last week.  Think they are all developing a nice rhythm.

I agree - that Cincy line seems way off.  Divisional game against two very capable teams.  Both coming off high profile emotional wins.

I have to go with Cincy +7 here.

GL.

While I totally respect the Bengals resurgence and have been on them from time to time this year including their big wins over Pittsburgh, Chicago and Green Bay - now may not be the time to "take the points"

The Steelers' dominant 2nd half last Monday may be a pre-cursor to a strong run of Football in November - Mendenhall's ability to gash yards, makes Big Ben more dangerous. There will be no "Monday Night letdown" as this game is a revenge game and for the division title basically as Baltimore's terrible corners have crippled them.

With Mike Wallace' speed opening up the vertical and diagonal parts of the field, and the O'line's athleticism helping with trapping and pulling - Big Ben suddenly has the keys to an Escalade. Did I mention the Steelers' ability to stop the run on defense? CBen will have a tough game this week.

The Line of 7 points may be a sucker line to get Bengal money to offset the wiseguy action. Thats my take.

Re: Seattle - I actually watched most of the Sea/Det game on the ticket as I had fantasy action going - and I saw a Seattle offensive line that could not block the pathetic Lion's pass rush for more than a 3-step, and maybe 5-step drop. Hasselbach got 300 yards dinking and dunking - vs Detroit.

The Cards may be approaching their best game getting Boldin back possibly, and having a 1-2 punch now at running back with the emergence of Beanie.

I guess I am just saying that there is absolutely no way the Cards slip up and lose 2 in a row at home to a divisonal rival that is crippled at O-line and Linebacker.

I cannot bet an NFL dog unless I think they have a realistic chance to win- not the case here.

Live NFL dogs this week with a plausible chance to win straight up are New England +3 vs a banged up and rookie Colt secondary, The Jags getting 7 vs an erratic rookie quarterback, The Redskins at home off a much improved offensive performance last week in Atlanta catching the deflated Broncos and a suddenly unconfident Kyle Orton...and maybe even the Packers at home catching Dallas in a potential let down game.

Think you have to stick with the Bengals right now, I keep thinking they're going to go back to their old ways and they keep winning big games. This isn't the Bengals teams of the past. With the running game firing on all cylinders because of Benson and the o-line it has really given Palmer a chance to get into a rhythm. Palmer is much better as an in-the-pocket QB, when he has to scramble and make plays on the fly, it usually doesn't end up being positive. This team is really starting to gel right now and doing it with some of their bench players. They lost Antwan Odom who was leading in sacks and didn't lose a beat on defense. In my opinion they have the 2 best corners in the league with Hall, and J Joseph, and I can't ever remember a time in Cincy where the defense was keeping them in/winning games for the team. Everyone knew they could score, but now they can keep the other team from doing it. I say ride the Bengals with 7 and play it large.

so what to think about these Bears and the line movement??....... I actually like the Bears in this spot tonight.  It makes me nervous because the Niners are due for a win...........I personally think the Bears are a better team, and they haven't lost to a sub-par team this year.  We all know the niners can stop the run, but they are horrible against teams that have an OK pass game.  After all they let Vince Young rip them last week...........
Gold_Rush says:
11/12/09 01:00PM
I think Cutler is the better QB here
its a home game on National TV

the niners do not get too many of those
so they may get some breaks that clear them to victory

I do like the .5 maybe this is a 3 pt game in the end
like2betmore says:
11/12/09 03:59PM

You had everything right the first time.  Niners due for a win?  Why cuz they lost so many in a row.  That like saying Titans were due for a win or Detroit was due for a win or Colts are due for a loss Saints due for a loss.  You ride the train till it crashes.  Maybe it will crash tonight.

It like second guessing the Den/Pitt game.  Everyone knew Pitt was the better team.  Just go with the odds.  I rather take a team and the points that has a good chance of winning over a team that may or may not win let alone try to cover by more than a field goal.

Hey Whodey! I've followed a couple of your threads and won big on Minny and Cincy, games I might not have even bet if it wasn't for you. Wish I woulda put more on both games but my husband doesn't like to put too much on any one game. Anyway just wanted to say thanks! Thinking of going big on NE but I hate betting against Manning and the home team, but I really think NE is going to win SU. any thoughts?

Like the new Avatar Whodeys.

I'm playing hurt this week (low bankroll) but I'm back in the game.

I like your picks in Cinci, New England, and Cleveland on MNF.

I am fading my own squad because I know them too well.. and I don't like the chances of them coming away with a W starting green corners.  Houston was an easy pick last week considering their head-to-head history.  Same applies here.

Rolling with the Saints -13.5 and Tennessee -6.5 for faves this week.

GL man

Good luck on the rest of your picks, but I must disagree with Cincy. Pittsburgh outplayed them last time and gave it away. They are playing better now and will again show up for the big game. Steelers lose this and they are two games back factoring in the tie-breaker. You can bet they know that.

Whodeysb09 says:

Doesn't matter if they know that or not.  Its about being the better team, and in my opinion the Bengals are the better team at this point.  By the way I didn't play anything last night.  Glad I didn't.  Didn't even see what the line moved to someone said something about some movement.  I don't know I'll have plays up tomorrow.  FLA Broker I'm going to put my plays up for college today sometime.  Maybe here soon.
