I think a bulk of my cash came from prop bets and I think it's been a lot easier in the play-offs. Anyway, less talk and on with the play. First up is:
(Proposition) Lebron James (Cavs) Over 6.5 Total Made Free Throws
This is perhaps a dead give away. Lebron james averages 7.3 Made Free Throws this season and he averages 9 MFT in 19.5 FTA in this series. Definitely expect him to drive harder for a score on the road and get a couple more points in the charity stripe. 3 Units play here.
(Proposition) TJ Ford (Raptors) Over 12.5 Total Points+Assists
I'm no Ford fan but I see this prop play to be an easy target. Ford averages close to 6 ppg and 6 apg in this series, he averages 11.6 ppg and 6.9 apg in the regular season. The Raptors will be needing a lot of contributions from him and the rest of the team, expect him to perform much better than his last two games against Orlando.
Goodluck tonight everyone.

I always try and look for an afternoon game that has a good value to bet on. It's a pretty good way to continue on a night of wagering when you see the first play you made in the morning scores a win.
Of all the afternoon games tonight, I think the Chicago Cubs +111 is a good play here. The streaking cubs against a sliding rockies team. I've learned long before to never bet on a streak. Jason Marquis has started pretty strong this season and look for him to continue his winning ways. Let's see the red hot batters of the cubs to send a few balls to the fans here this afternoon. A unit play here.
Goodluck this afternoon everybody!

Denver Nuggets will have a hard time winning ball games without any kind of "DEFENSE". Lakers is just in another level right now and Denver will be needing a tight comeback to even make this a game. I'm no Lakers fan but I just don't see them losing here tonight. I'm taking the following for three units each:
LA Lakers (2H)
-2.5Denver Nuggets at LA Lakers Lakers (2nd Half)
Over +113.5
And I'm rolling with both plays and betting them on a parlay for three units to win seven units.

It's a pretty painful afternoon for Liverpool backers and fans alike yesterday. The game's almost done and something catastrophic just has to happen. Anyway, that's football for you.
This afternoon, I find no other better play than the following:
Manchester United (Straight Bet) +200
Manchester United (AsianHandicap) +110
Game Total Over 2 -140
Manchester United has been amazing all seaon long in the Champions League. They've yet to record a loss in their last ten. I believe this is thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo being amazing season. Nani and Tevez finally meshed with the chemistry of the team just made the Red Devils a formidable team in the Champions League.
With Real sitting pretty on top of the La Liga, Barcelona is no team to mess with either, as their desire for that Cup is even bigger. The Over looks like a pretty amazing steal in this game. With two teams with big guns battling it out for survival, expect at the very least two goals total. Manchester United has three of the top scorer in the tournament and Barcelona's Henry, Eto'o and Messi shouldn't be ruled out either.
What are your thoughts in this game guys?

How about another Philadelphia bet here tonight. ML is as good as +500 and the spread at 10 is quite a number for the Pistons. I have nothing against the Pistons but I just can't say how disgusted I am when they blew a good 13 point lead then went on to hand a win over to the 76ers.
In the last 5 meetings of the two team (4 in the regular season), Philadelphia has covered 4 out of 5 (3 out of 4 in the regular season). I don't know what Detroit is up to but I think the 76ers desires to win more than Detroit in this scenario. I'm not too fond of the Money Line play here as I still see Detroit winning this game but perhaps not more than 10. A unit play for the Philadelphia 76ers +10 points.

I think my luck has run out as I see all three of my afternoon wagers going down the drain. Anyway, I'll try and get it back with full force this evening starting with this play.
(Proposition) Dirk Nowitzki (Mavs) Total Points Over 24.5
This looks like an almost steal. Dirk averages close to 24 and he'll surely step it up with his team down by 1 in the series. He scored 31 in Game 1 and he'll definitely get it going in the same scoring pace.

The bet is:
Liverpool
(Straight Bet) +122. I believe I just placed the biggest wager in my life in this game ($300). I was expecting this will happen the moment they get Fernando Torres in that Reds jersey. Anyway, enough of the digression and on with what I think of the game.
Rafael Benitez is an amazing contender in the Champions League and him commanding Torres and Gerrard it will be a very interesting game for the Blues. Chelsea has an edge in their defensive line and so I believe most of the battle will be played in the midfiled. I have yet to see who will be Chelsea's keeper (the last time I read is that they'll be using a 3rd stringer) and so I believe Pepe Reina has the edge here. Drogba is listed as questionable but Pizarro isn't half as bad. Both teams with prolific scorer but look for Fernando Torres to really turn things around here tonight.
Let's hear it for the REDS this afternoon! Goodluck on your bets everyone!

I am not really into making plays of my own and the so-called "capping games." I just look at the game card stats and base my decision on it. So far it has been working nicely on my part.
Anyway, both the afternoon games have some great value betting on the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals. Figueroa (1-0) and Lohse (2-0) both have the better stat against the corresponding pitchers they'll be playing. I'm playing 1 unit play on both teams. I haven't placed the bet yet as I'm waiting for a possibly better money value for them.
Any of you guys got thoughts or comments on both plays this afternoon? Please do post as it will be greatly appreciated. Let's hope for a good afternoon and a couple more cash to spend on the evening games.

Lady luck smiled brightly on us this afternoon, cashing on Boston Red Sox -1.5 bet. Let's hope she keeps on guiding us to another win here.
Redman and Kendrick both have an almost identical pitching stat this season. This is why we are taking the Lefty at home to play. Better pen and defense here at home. Colorado Rockies (MoneyLine) -111. $115 to win $100.
The last game for the MLB looks pretty strong for the Diamondbacks. Owings over Correia in this game. I see Arizone edging the visiting Giants on most areas. Arizona Diamondbacks
(MoneyLine) -200. $200 to win $100.

Okay, I'm doing this really quick. 5 minutes before tip-off and I accidentally saw my books give out a couple more prop play that I like. Here they are:
(Proposition)
Zydrunas Ilgauskas (Cavs) Total Points - Over 15.5
Caron Butler (Wiz) Total Free Throw Made - Over 3.5
Hoping that my luck doesn't run out tonight as well. I just placed a wager on my first Run Line bet in MLB ever and it turned out really nicely. $100 plays on each to win 80 and 83.33 respectively.

Thank you Dwight Howard for allowing me to win that prop play. I almost thought the bet I made ended up with my unlucky-hand-picked-bets as D.Howard went with only 4 points in the middle of the second quarter. I decided to sleep on it and woke up with a pretty fine amount in my account with him scoring 25 points in 8/13 shooting and 9/11 on the charity stripe.
Anyway, I hope my luck has yet to end here. I think I saw a pretty fine deal over baseball and will perhaps wager on it. The bet is:
Boston
(PointSpread) Texas Rangers at Boston Red Sox -1.5
Clay Buchholz has yet to deliver a win for the Sox. He's 0-3 facing Texas' Gabbard who stands high with a 3-0 record. Boston's defense is pretty good against the Rangers in this series. With the Red Sox playing at home, they should be stingier. Boston is 6-2 at home against a pretty average 5-5 Texas Rangers team. $100 to win $110 on Boston Red Sox Run Line.

I use to look at game odds in yahoo sports and wagerline and I never thought covers.com has quite a lively forum. Anyway, I use to be a blogger before I look to wagering on sports games for entertainment. I don't have much of a bank roll and would make use of $500 dollars to wager on games. If it runs out, I guess the fun in gambling stops. Anyway, I'm usually lurking in the PredictEm.com forums and I must say there are a lot of decent people posting their bets in that forum.
I just started placing bets last week and man, the thrill from it was amazing. I've managed to build a decent amount ($487) in that one week span thanks to the people over the last forum I mentioned. I would like to take this opportunity to try and start calling bets myself. I hope lady luck smiles upon me this afternoon as I have never been lucky when I call the bets myself. Anyway, I saw a good prop play and it is in the Toronto/Orlando game. I placed $100 to win $186.95 on the propostion play:
Orlando Magic: Dwight Howard (Magic) Total Points Over 21.5
I hope and pray that this time, I finally break a long and dark streak of losing my own called bet.
