Week 2...TRAP CITY

Gonna throw out the card for the weekend upcoming.  There are a TON of bad spots for bigtime teams in letdown situations this week.  Time to put your balls on the line and go where no one else dares go.

Got a lot locked in already and am waiting on a couple others to settle down around key numbers before it's go time.

Ga Tech -4
Central Michigan +14.5 (Mich State has ND on deck)
Iowa St +7
Arkansas St +24 (Nebraska has VT on deck)
West Virginia -6 (revenge)
TCU -11
Houston +15 (letdown spot for Okie St after Georgia LW)
USC -7
Marshall +19 (sandwich for VT...Bama and Nebraska)
Wash St +1.5

Yet to play...

Minnesota -3.5 (first game in new stadium...line still falling)
UNLV +7 (Oregon St awaiting showdown with Cincy on a short week following UNLV)

Central might be my play of the week.  There are so many games that I feel great about, but that one is right up there.

Yeah, this would have been juicier if Tech would have won, but they are going to be in "win and get out of dodge" mode.  I don't understand the line movement here either.  It's actually dropping so that signals a play for me for such an ugly road dog.  The books are going to reel in a TON of Tech money, but not from me.

Thanks Whodey.  I just gotta find the right time to pull the trigger, the line seems to have leveled off for now.  Don't want to see it dip below that 7, but I could see an additional hook or two if I wait it out.

Good luck Huggiebear.  I can see why Clemson would be an interesting grab at this point...I'm just glad I got in on the ground floor with Tech in that one.

Nebraska seems to be popular around these parts.  But that's ok by me.

G TECH/Clemson: There is No real dominant team in the ACC. Last time these two faced each other they got the win at Clemson 21-17. Clemson brings Freshman QB on the road at a hostile site, conference game CJ Spiller goes down (hammy). LY Clemson ran only for only 51 yards (with Spiller and James Davis against GT (BTW).  Clemson has a good offensive line this year, so they'll probably be better. Clemson has a good defense and yet GT still ran over 207 yards with Dwyer &Co, and they will control the ball with a year of experience with Paul Johnson's offense (the unusual scheme, will be more on the same page than LY. This team is a homerun waiting to happen (should be exciting offensively). A lot of players back for GTECH this year especially on offense. Taking GTECH -5 for 5 Units.

Adding one for this evening.  Pretty bad beat last night.  Last night was one of those nights where I was very glad that I didn't see the game.  I would have been in a bad way had I been witness to the meltdown.

Getting that one back before we head into the main course tomorrow.
