Shaq to Cavs: WORST thing that could of happened to Lebron

This is very funny... Lebron is jumping up n down like a little girl as I'm typing this..

Cavs fans are drooling over the possibilities of a Lebron/Shaq duo...inside presence that Lebron has been lacking for all these years they say.

This is the best news I've heard since Lakers won the championship!!!!

You ask: Why am I happy?...because this trade will do nothing more than GIVE EXTRA MOTIVATION TO THE REAL MVP: KOBE

Previously, Kobe has been quoted as saying he's gonna take over a month off to let his body rest. Lets be honest, before this trade it would be very tough for Kobe to have the same motivation as he did before winning the title this year. What else did he have to prove?

BUTTTTTTTT....this trade will spark that fire in Kobe yet again  Kobe would love NOTHING MORE than to beat Lebron/Shaq in the FINALS!!!! He's gonna be in the gym tomorrow morning 6am SHARP getting ready.

Shaq's legacy will be ruined...trying to ride Lebron just like he did with Wade.

BIG MISTAKE STERN

BIG MISTAKE LEBRON

BIG MISTAKE SHAQ

LETS DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR LAKESHOW

Shaq is a better fit in Cleveland than he was in Phoenix.

Is this the good OLE' Shaq........................NO

Is this an OLD(er) Shaq..................................YES

But this OLD Shaq does make the Cavs better right now than they were last year and they did not have to give up practically anything to get better.

I think Grant Hill may be able to give the Cavs something too as long as they do not give up anything to acquire him......may be let Joe Smith go or do not re-sign him and then pick up Grant Hill.

But, IMHO, and I got ripped in the other thread I created [CARTER TO CAVS....rumor] about this, I think the Cavs should try to get Vince Carter or Rasheed Wallace.

Even if they have to give up Boobie Gibson or D West or M. Williams with Scherbiak...........I think having a guy that can have the offense ran through him is the way to go....Carter (pick and roll) or Wallace (pick and pop)...would give the Cavs the different dimensions that a team needs to put a roster together that can defeat (and defend) the various challenges that a NBA team will face during the regular season and post season.

What everyone is forgetting, is that LBJ is a GREAT with a capital "G" player right now.....and all he needs is a little help.....albeit, it has to be the right help, but all he needs is a little help and then the Cavs are right there!

I think with Shaq on the team LBJ will have an even better year than last year (assists as he drives to the hoop will be higher) and Shaq will get more finishes in the paint off LBJ passes and missed shots as his defender rolls over to defends a driving LBJ.

Cavs are better right now with this deal......one more deal will make them surpass Orlando and be a true contender for the Title.......

-----------------------------------------

Kobe will not be any more motivated than LBJ.....and I think right now the motivation edge goes to LBJ.

Stern may as well get the Championship trophy and give it to Shaq on his way to Cleveland to give to Lebron.  Signed, sealed and delivered.  They will win it.  Now, its more will they blow it and lose the title this year

I don't know now, after the Shaq move, thye can put Rasheed on the same floor as him. If you are going to have another guy, I would use VC. Although Sheed being outside would give Shaq free reign on the boards. I thought Sheed would have been a great fit for them before this move

To me, either Rasheed or Vinsanity will still fit on this team.

Wow. Everyone seems to have forgotten what happened to the Suns after Shaq played a full season--they missed the playoffs. Shaq's numbers have gone up again, but it's still a coin toss whether he will be good for the Cavs.

And doesn't the old fatso play only the first game of back-to-backs? But then that's where they need a paint presence the most—when they're (Cavs) are tired and cannot put up a good running game.

I think Shaq gives them a better half court offense something that they needed, but the same problem is going to be following him and thats the pick n roll defense...I still feel the Cavs need to get better on the wing posistion something that the Magic exposed with Lewis and Hedo

Lebron is gonna fucked up with "Lebron, tell me how my ass taste" with Shaq or Lebron never win championship with Shaq.

Kobe is smiling.

correct: or Lebron never win championship without Shaq

Oh geez, anyone who doesnt think the Cavs didnt improve themselves with Shaq is a retard. It doesnt matter if its the old Shaq, its an improvement from Ben Wallace and Pavlocic. Lebron will now have someone who's been there and done that.

And to the person who said the Lakers are shitting themselves now that the Spurs signed Jefferson?

Orlando Still has D Howard. The Kid will Get his Offense Bak. VCarter to Orlando could be a Huge Move for Orlando to make a Strong Run...Fast Fresh Legs.

No player fits on all teams.  And Shaq clearly did not fit with that Phoenix Sun team & scheme.

Getting Shaq doesn't improve the poor play by everyone not named Lebron in the back court in the Orlando series.  It at least doesn't make Mo Williams the 2nd option anymore.  But it will still be LeBron doing his 1 on 5 at the end of big games because Shaq can't make a FT.

Going after Turkulu would be a nice move and would give LBJ the help he needs

Shaq

LBJ

Turkulu

D West

M Williams

Bench

Illgaskas

Verajah

Scherbiak

Oh Oh.......who is their backup point guard......and who is their between player that can play the 3 or 4 that comes off the bench

The Cavs have too many holes on their squad.

TO me, that shows how good LBJ is right now.....their squad is flawed but they somehow won 66 games last year

and it appears the squad is still flawed....Turkulu improves the team but they still need a dynamic 4 or a WING player with some skills on this team............looks like they need a backup PG too.

What in the heck is Danny Ferry doing?

Shaq & James deserve each other, both are self consumed arrogant personalities that will end up in flames

I think this was a great move the Cavs didnt have any big guys that could play in the paint...Shaq is an upgrade over Ben PERIOD....Pavs didnt get any time and the time he was getting can now go to rookie Green..

Ferry is going to add another player still...Sheed,Charlie V,Barnes somebody will be signed its not going to be hard to upgrade the Cavs bench!!!!

no they messed up by passing on Jodie Meeks, the best shooter in the draft.

If Shaq joining means that Ilguakas will not be on the floor this works out...

I have been saying before the season that CLE got swept by the spurs that Lebron will never win one with Ilguakas...  they just do not fit well together...

Shaq is also a better fit playing along side Varejao... better then Big Ben also...

I see the Cavs problem is that they cannot have west and williams on the floor at the same time in crunch time because they are undersized...

Surrounding Lebron with shooters is not the answer...  Lebron needs finishers at the rim and rebounders as bigger players come to help or double leaving Shaq alone under the rim...

I think that this is actually a great trade come playoff time...

JODIE MEEKS BEST SHOOTER IN THE DRAFT......

I THINK U FORGOT ABOUT MR. CURRY.

Woall says:

yea you could make a case for Curry.  It's splitting hairs.  Meeks is the purest shooter I have ever seen and I think the Cavs could have really used him.
FreePickWinners says:

I think Curry is a better shooter because he can make is own shot, he has very good movies with the rock and has a very quick release.  Meeks does not do this as well in my opinion.  Still both very good shooters.
Woall says:

Meeks has an amazingly quick release.  Curry is a much better ball handler.
